It is not because of God who let this happen. It is because of man the evil men who run those countries. Why feed them when you can use the money to buy weapons from communist countries and rise to power. Go live there Wolfie.

You probably don't have the courage the same coverage that people from my church go there and help those people feed them and introduce them to the Christ. We can only pray for you blind people.

All the evil in this world is man's doing , not God's. Sorry for you......

“If God created everything, then God created evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil”.
The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand and said, “Can I ask you a question professor?”
“Of course”, replied the professor.
The student stood up and asked,
“Professor, does cold exist?”
“What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?” The students snickered at the young man’s question.
The young man replied,
“In fact sir, cold does not exist.
According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat.”
The student continued,
“Professor, does darkness exist?”
The professor responded, “Of course it does.”
The student replied,
“Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either.
Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton’s prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn’t this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present.”
Finally the young man asked the professor,
“Sir, does evil exist?”
Now uncertain, the professor responded, “Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man’s inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.”
To this the student replied,
“Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself.
Evil is simply the absence of God.
It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God’s love present in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.”
The professor sat down.

Peewee, you are correct. Just as his word says, one day every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess, Jesus is Lord!
There will always be trouble, We can only have peace if we put our trust in him. There have been any times in my life, when he was all I had. He comforted me in my distress. I was sitting on my porch after my mom died, we had no flowers due to deer eating them, but out of nowhere, the sweetest fragrance filled my nostrils. I immediately realized that it was the precious presence of the Holy Spirit letting me know my mom was in the presence of the Lord. Seek him and you shall find him. I feel it won't be long before he comes to take us believers home. Hope some of these non believer's on opp will wake up before it is too late, time is short!

You're right, Karpenter, this is an urban legend. Origins: For those looking for a quick answer to the question of whether this item is literally true, let it be stated up front that it is not. Nothing remotely like the account related above appears in any biography or article about Albert Einstein, nor is the account congruent with that scientist’s expressed views on the subject of religion (in which he generally described himself as an “agnostic” or a “religious nonbeliever”). Einstein’s name has simply been inserted into an anecdote created long after his death in order to provide the reading audience with a recognizable figure and thus lend the tale an air of verisimilitude(truth).

Fifty years ago I was driving through West Virginia and, around one AM, I stopped for a brief rest on a hill top in Mouth of Seneca. There was a scenic pull off so I parked and walked about a hundred yards into a grassy meadow on the hillside and lied down on my back staring at the moonless sky. After a very short time, I realized that I could actually feel the motion of the starkly visible solar system and feel the position of the Earth within it. It was such a powerful reality and sensation that I had to quell a sudden attack of fear of the immensity of creation and my place in it. I don’t know how long I remained in that state but I’ve retained that awareness of where I am all these years after. Had I not been alone and in that location on a moonless night, the experience would not have been possible.

God did that, you say? I have another point of view. Mine is just as valid as yours. Both of our thoughts are based on a single photograph that, while disturbing in its allusion, has no context, therefore neither of our assertions can be empirically valid. If we had more information about the photo, maybe a more logical conclusion of the perpetrator would surface than simply jumping to the conclusion 'God did it'! For instance:

1. When was the photo taken?
2. Where was the photo taken?
3. Who took the photo?
4. Why did they take the photo, what was their stated purpose?
5. Who are the people in the photo?
6. Why are they (obviously) starving?
7. Why are they still there, instead of some place better suited to their general welfare?
8. Are these conditions still prevalent in that place today?

Once we have the answers to these questions, then we may (possibly) begin to apportion blame. Of course, answering these questions may just prompt even more questions. We have no way of knowing until we see the preliminary answers, that I am willing to bet a fair chunk of change you are unable to provide.

In the meantime, ponder this:

We experience the natural world in uniquely human ways.

If one where to assume, along with you, that this sensation of awe that humans experience in the presence of overwhelming beauty, symmetry, immensity, etc. were to be some "proof" the existence of God, the next step would be to determine to which of the thousands of magical deities described throughout mankind's history this "proof" applies. But that is a subject for a different thread.

However, the fact that various people in diverse religious belief systems, or no theistic leanings at all also experience this same sense of awe, and ascribe it as proof for their beliefs reveals this to be an incomplete argument. The further fact that the same sense of wonder is felt when listening to beautiful piece of music, contemplating an extraordinary piece of art or finally comprehending a particularly complicated and sticky scientific theoretical point by persons with no theistic attachments or beliefs, reveals it to be a universal human emotion, explainable by examining our evolutionary history.

In presenting this incomplete argument as a proof for the existence of your personal God, you are employing a logical fallacy, colloquially referred to as "making s*** up."

the author wrote:

Excerpt:
"Today, people all over the world are met with novel and awe-eliciting information on an almost daily basis. Discoveries and breakthroughs in scientific theory range from the identification of cosmic particle accelerators to the hope of curing cancers with immunotherapy. Thanks to technological advances and social media, one can watch stunning videos of exploding stars or crystal clear images of the complexity of the brain. Similarly, exposure to diverse religious beliefs and practices is also made possible through tourism, international trade, the media, the internet, and even migration. Further, research shows that college students who are open to new experiences regularly experience awe in their college courses.
The exposure to new scientific and religious information can radically reorient our lives. As people are awed by new scientific information and by diverse and novel religious beliefs and practices from around the globe, they may begin to identify as being part of a greater whole that transcends the self. Indeed, awe has been shown to lead to feelings of connectedness and identity as a member of very large, abstract groups or universal categories, as well as increased metaphysical beliefs. To the extent that exposure to religious or scientific information inspires awe, this kind of exposure can lead to a view of the self as being a tiny part of all of humanity or as a thin blade of grass on a tiny blue dot in the great expanse of our universe.
Some might contend that exposure to new awe-eliciting scientific theories, awareness of the amazing diversity of religious beliefs, and the consequent views of the self as being small and insignificant will undermine faith in God or the Divine. Others contend that faith actually begins with the powerful emotion of awe. Indeed, in a national study of young adults, 42 percent reported that exposure to science had actually strengthened their religious beliefs, and in-depth interviews reveal that many clergy believe we simply have too limited a view of God. Interestingly, some research indicates that believers who regularly experience awe are more likely to have an abstract, rather than personified, concept of God. Certainly more research is needed to better understand how individuals integrate awe-eliciting scientific and religious information into their own existing knowledge structures and religious worldviews."

1st. Understand I have traveled around the world at Uncle Sam's expense many times and the further I was from man. Then and then only did I understood and appreciated God's gifts to this planet and his inhabitants regardless the location.

If you want to see God you should look first at what he has provided for you to see. I am sorry to report that you would have to look deep to see his gifts around large gatherings of humans and where they live and work -- all you will see are some products which man has created...... I can assure you that you will not find the results of God creations in large cities like NY, Chicago, Detroit, Venice or Paris. Anywhere humans are packed tightly together. No you cannot see God's creations if you can drive your car there. You will have to get as far away from man as possible.

If you head out into the land at least five miles from any other human impact, sit down and spend a day looking and listening you will see his hand print, if you let your senses take it in you will fill your soul with wonder and sense his breath...If on the other hand if you do not want to understand his earth then you will not. Anyone can always find a thousand reasons to deny the obvious if they do not want to believe.

Another place to go is out onto the ocean... Miles and miles from land... Shut off your watercraft engines and just drift for a day. Look and listen.

When you return to land, and before you dock you should find a tropical reef and visit God's under-world. It is spectacular... It does give you another vision of his majesty.

Go ahead and pick your own choice of paradise on earth and if you have a brain then you too will understand.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the below will only give you a hint. You will need to sit down in real life and open your eyes, mind and spirit. Go ahead -- Man did not build it.

I find beauty wherever I look...the birds, the flowers, the trees, the grass, people who have love in their hearts for all mankind. The ever changing clouds in the sky, the stars at night. The ocean is magnificent. How can we see all this and more which the Lord has provided and not believe. Did I mention a shining horse running a race or just around a stable. Cows in the meadow. Fish in the lake, the river, the ocean. So much beauty all around us. Even the squirrels that are such a nuisance have their moments. I appreciate these things more and more as I grow older and hope and pray I'll grow a little older.

Good point. I didn't think of that. Maybe we can start a whole new round of world wars based on just that question. Just the preposition 'OK it was created, not an accident' should be sufficient to light fires that burn for centuries.
