For one...we stopped the dominoes from falling. It ended w/ the old colonies of French Indo-China. Thailand stayed in our orbit. In effect, "Communism" (as we knew it back then) was halted. I don't know if any other country has gone that route, save, maybe, Venezuela--and the people there aren't buying it. Yes...it took many lives--mostly wasted, IMO-- but that's the story for another day. Many of us will not know the final chapter/ending before we're pushing up daisies. Already, we're almost bosom buddies w/ the "slopes." Trump even goes out of his way to call on them and the last time I heard, they want us to come back and re-establish our naval base at Cam Rahn Bay because of their long animosity toward the Chinese![Talk about a one-eighty!] Like the Filipinos, the Vietnamese also claim that part of the
South China Sea the CHICOMS are now building an artificial island. They say war often makes strange bedfellows. One might very ask, "What about peace?" [See: Triple Entente.]

Our armed forces also gained valuable, on-the-job-training in the art of war. The Air Force and US Army were no longer (as far as I know) miles apart re ground support. Follow-on acft such as the A-10 were specifically designed for this mission. We also learned that the B-52 could be, when needed, a pretty good ground attack acft. All of this required a change not only in the AF's Tac Doctrine but attitude toward grd support, as well. From what I can gather from officers currently on active duty, this new attitude goes all the way up to the AF's top commanders. IMO that is a good thing.

I can't comment on the Navy or Marine Corps. (BTW, that's "core," Obama, not "corpse!")

I stopped after the 2nd sentence. We stopped the dominoes because we got our ass kicked.

I never said we gained anything from Vietnam !

But we sure as heck let the South be taken over by the North because we didn't have the will to fight and win and a special thanks to the blundering idiot LBJ who tied one hand behind our back and at times both hands one of the reasons that I found LBJ so disgusting .

We won every battle with the North and Viet Cong but lost the war due to the politicians and all the protesters back home as the enemy drew strength to keep holding out and if they could keep blooding our noses we'd lose the will to fight and that's what happened !

For what it's worth I was there in South Vietnam !

Dear me, you silly boy, don't you know that the woman who claimed she was 14 was actually 17? Assuming the incident ever happened, or was just another lie like the other [at least] three men, (all clergy from different churches) she falsely accused? Don't you know that the manager of the mall in question at the time said that he was never banned from the mall, that it is just another lie.
Almost all of Moore's opponent's money comes from out-of-state donors. Hundreds of thousands of dollars from DC Democrats. Luther Strange, his opponent in the primary. was heavily financed by the RINO establishment. Moore has gotten more funding from the people of Alabama than either of his opponents.
Most of the "witnesses" against Moore have been discredited. Yet you continue to accuse him of being a child molester, with no proof whatsoever. You continue to spread the lie that he was banned from a shopping mall after the mall manager said it was a lie.
Do you enjoy repeating lies, you silly boy? You have no excuse, because you know they are lies. You have no proof. You have nothing but some accusations by a handful of dubious accusers. That's not very nice. We have rules here on OPP about not nice.

BB: For the record.....The Tet offensive was one of the greatest victories of all time! Over 800,000 enemy destroyed and Hanoi said if we had continued for another two weeks North Vietnam would have surrendered. Our news media with the help of John Kerry changed all of that!

Disagree, as you know. Sorry you didn't go passed the second sentence. You might have learned something.

For the record; we didn't "win," nor did we "get our ass kicked." We could have easily obliterated N. Vietnam--and I mean w/o using nukes--but didn't. Again..."there is no substitute for victory." Thank the good Lord we're not making that same mistake w/ ISIS. "Just kill 'em all, and let God sort 'em out" is my credo!

"You need of course to include all of the other witnesses against this child molester," First it's all circumstantial evidence.
Second only a Court of Law can determine if he is a "Child molester", your not qualified to determine that.

"He is guilty as sin." Read the 5th and 14th Amendment's of the Constitution.

"My goodness this guy was banned from a shopping mall for stalking children and you want him elected to the Senate".
Again circumstantial evidence, it will not stand.

All this is now just being reported after some 40 years late? Sorry, but the "Statute of Limitations" has run out, No Court will convict. It's called "Due Process" of the 14th Amendment.

You lose, your statement means nothing except an uneducated rant, it's based on hear-say, which will not stand in a Court of Law.
So it looks like, Roy Moore will win the election.
