Unfortunately, when these political parties mount an assassination campaign they are quite adept at loading up the news with every salacious accusation possible. It is no longer possible to ascertain what is truth by news reporting because what they do not distort, they fabricate.

Looking at the background of the accusers finds too many working for the opposition and sex molestation and harassment is the shibboleth de Jour. Any such accusation causes a Chicken Little reaction.

The problem with such accusations is that they destroy people’s lives without providing a means of redress if the accusations are proven false. Considering that forty years has passed it is improbable in the extreme, that this could be proved, false or true, but the accused's reputation and life is destroyed none-the-less.

I think a moratorium on these accusations needs to be declared and a time limit for registering charges established. I would say five ten years after in the case of a minor and seven years for an adult. If such charges are not filed then it should be assumed the alleged victim acquiesced in the action and has no complaint. If it is proved that the charges were made without basis in reality, to derail the political process, jail time should accrue to the accuser.

In Moore's case, most of these people claiming his behavior was common knowledge should be required to provide testimony of what they knew from their own experience, not hearsay. Failing that provide the names of those who had first hand knowledge and put them under oath.

Franken stupidly mugged for pictures, which showed him at least suggesting molestation. No such evidence exists against Moore no matter how many pundits want him to abandon his run for office.

Apples and corncobs here Bad Bob. Obamas known history was muddy and questionable and his extraordinary efforts to conceal his history smells worse than Trump's refusal to release his Tax Returns. At least we know Trump filed those returns and they were or are being examined by the IRS. The only birth certificate released by Obama has very conclusively been proven to be a fake. In Obama's case it doesn't matter, he wasn't eligible anyway. His foreign national father removed any natural born status and he should never have been accepted as a candidate.

When the birthers are alleged to have committed sex crimes forty years ago let me know and I'll give you a reading.
