So more people killed by a crazy with access to guns with large capacity magazines, and children either injured or killed, and at least 100 cops involved in killing the gunman.

And the same lame excuses will come from the assorted gunnuts who refuse to acknowledge that unfettered access to guns will just keep repeating the tragedy of gun violence.

And again, it was the cops who killed this scumbag, not some shoot em up wannabe "hero"

It’s a crying shame when an EDP finally goes over the edge, but you probably think that he would not have done anything to anyone without access to a firearm, right?

No. That’s not what the article says, make a better effort to read for comprehension.

Unfettered access? Were there just a bunch of guns laying on this guy’s front lawn for him to choose from? You sure he didn’t steal it, like he did the truck?

Lol, you really struggle with the concept of a good guy with a gun, huh? Are you implying that the good guy with a gun in Texas is a “shoot em up wannabe hero” and not a legitimate hero?

DJrich:

I would love to see your reaction (besides wetting yourself) if YOU were trapped in a "gun free zone" situation, with no way to defend yourself.

AND . . . someone with a CCP, who has trained, well aware of the law and practiced often, saved your miserable AXX.

I have carried for 25 years, extremely careful to avoid situations, and feel VERY comfortable with my knowledge and skills.

Checking past attacks, it seems that there is an attraction for 15 minutes of fame during the Holiday Season.
I hope big brother is doing something for the greater good for a change. Especially now that the Holidays are upon us.

The so called "good guy with the gun" always do their shooting after the crazy with the gun has already shot and killed or wounded the innocent. And almost always, the crazy has killed himself or the crazy is killed by the cops, who actually know what they are doing.

But keep trying to create a false narrative to support your very weak argument for having more people have more guns

Now that's thinking!! Tell me DJ, how does one know a crime is going to take place? where it's gong to take place, at what time? Now, if you could enlighten the CCW carriers, you could prevent a lot of these acts.

A study undertaken by a group led by criminologist Dr. Gary Kleck of Florida State University found that there are approximately 2.1 to 2.5 million instances annually in which individual Americans use a gun to defend themselves. Considered as households, the figure is 1.3 to 1.5 million annual DGUs (Kleck 1995, Table 2). If this figure is correct, defensive uses of firearms are much more common than crimes committed with guns. Kleck's study defines a DGU as a defensive action against a human (rather than an animal), involving actual contact with the person being defended against, in which the defender could state a specific crime which he or she thought was being committed at the time of the incident, and in which the defender's gun was actually used in some way, even if it was only as part of a verbal threat. A reported DGU incident must meet all of these criteria in order to be counted as a valid DGU for the purposes of the survey. Additionally, DGUs associated with work as a policeman, security guard, or member of the military are excluded. SOURCE

Nationwide: one-half million self-defense uses. Every year, as many as one-half million citizens defend themselves with a firearm away from home. [9] * Concealed carry laws are dropping crime rates across the country. A comprehensive national study determined in 1996 that violent crime fell after states made it legal to carry concealed firearms. The results of the study showed:

* States which passed concealed carry laws reduced their murder rate by 8.5%, rapes by 5%, aggravated assaults by 7% and robbery by 3%; [10] and * If those states not having concealed carry laws had adopted such laws in 1992, then approximately 1,570 murders, 4,177 rapes, 60,000 aggravated assaults and over 11,000 robberies would have been avoided yearly.
