Veteran's Day

In 2012 the NFL had an issue with Tim Tebow kneeling for each game to pray, they also had an issue with Tebow wearing John 3:16 as part of his blackout to avoid glare and made him take it off
In 2013 the NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people with mental health disorders.
In 2014 Robert Griffin III (RG3) entered a post-game press conference wearing a shirt that said "Know Jesus Know Peace" but was forced to turn it inside out by an NFL uniform inspector before speaking at the podium.
In 2015 DeAngelo Williams was fined for wearing "Find the Cure" eye black for breast
cancer awareness.
In 2015 William Gay was fined for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence. (not that the NFL has a domestic violence problem..)
In 2016 the NFL prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmet in honor of 5 Dallas Police officers killed in the line of duty.
In 2016 the NFL threatened to fine players who wanted to wear cleats to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
So tell me again how the NFL supports free speech and expression all of a sudden...
Veteran's Day Week-end
“People are now calling for a complete National Boycott of the NFL for Sunday November 12th, which is Veteran’s Day Weekend. They are calling for a boycott of all football telecast, all fans, all ticket holders, stay away from attending any games, let them play to empty stadiums. Pass this post along to all your friends and family. Honor our military, some of whom come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin..There are plenty of ways, times and places to protest concerning one’s chosen cause, but to do so during a brief special time set aside to honor our nation’s flag and the bravery and lives of our nation’s military heroes, is inappropriate and disrespectful. Of course black lives matter, but so do the precious lives of millions of US soldiers (of all races) who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend and protect our nation’s rights and freedoms….and who most certainly deserve all of our respect. It’s not about Trump, its about all those who bravely and unselfishly serve and who have served our nation The Star Spangled Banner is presented to honor all of them.”

I'm on board for that one. I usually end up in a bar on Sun afternoon with a group of friends. If we show and their is an NFL game on TV, I'm walking out. Everyone can at least do that much. No home NFL TV either. If you need sports, watch basketball or hockey. As for actually going to games, it is hard to throw away tickets at those prices. But don't buy beer or food.

I might also add that for that day, anyone advertising on NFL should also be boycotted.

But how would you know if you aren't watching it?

I'll start out by not being as stupid as that statement.

E, (1) that's not a "statement," it's a question. (2) you already "started out" with your first "statement" adding to boycot the advertisers AFTER boycotting the NFL. How can you know who advertises (at least on TV), unless you are watching what you've already decided to boycot?? Is there a list somewhere, or how do you know who advertises for the NFL games?

Ah, my mistake. Got off on the wrong topic. Was also writing about the stupidity of impeachment talk and got mixed up. But I'm sure I can catch a later list and they are mostly long term sponsors. And even they are getting pissed off. cheers.

November 11th is Veteran's Day, November 11th is also General George Patton's birthday. November 10th is the birthday of the US Marine Corp. November 12th is my birthday, so I've got some celebrating to do and it won't be in front of a TV set. Screw the NFL.

OORAH!
