Rejecting Christ

Some people expect God to show them proof He is real. Meanwhile, they make no effort to read His word, know Him better, and make life better for those around them. God is God. You may not live 100 years. For those that don’t believe in God, I think God has better reasons not to believe in you. You weren’t born until after 1900. Most of us lead miserable, selfish, and trifling existences, with all of our actions geared toward gaining pleasure or avoiding pain. God doesn‘t die. You can look at this creation and see an intelligent design. There must be an intelligent designer. I can make pancakes. You would look like an idiot telling me pancakes can make themselves. When satan comes to this earth, he will pretend to be Christ. Some will be skeptical. They want to see proof. When they ask satan to prove he is Jesus, he is supernatural and can control weather. He will make lightning strike within their eyesight. They will fall to their knees and worship with tears in their eyes. We shouldn’t judge by the sight of the eyes or the hearing of the ears, but by righteous judgment. John 7:24 When those that don’t know the Jesus revealed in scripture see this event, they will praise satan thinking he Jesus. That is why in Matthew 24:30 , most won’t be glad to see Him. Jesus will return when we least expect. He will not be expected to return when we think He is already here. Read Luke 12:40.

You can't prove something that is a figment of mans imagination--which is why there is no expectation that god will be proven real. That's why, for all the pretense, no one has ever accomplished it. And why are you surprised that intelligence sees intelligent design? You are playing into your own proof. The only proof for god, that a creationist has, is anecdotal evidence and anecdotal evidence will never be a rational proof.

And yes Fred you can make pancakes but every element in your pancakes was created naturally by the universe. So why would your "intelligent" god use the universe to create the elements in your pancakes when he could have easily snapped his fingers and created them himself? And here's the conundrum I've always wondered about: when the only thing necessary for our form of life is a planet, a moon, a sun, and supposedly a god why waste his time creating a universe--especially one where 99.9999% of it is deadly to life? Do you have any idea or is that just one more mystery surrounding that creation of ours?

Fred, I have every respect for you. Believe as you like and I will believe as I like. But in the end every atom that is us will return to the universe from whence it came. That's the only thing we know for certain--that and man can figure out how to make pancakes--though I prefer waffles myself...

Oh I see truth just fine MW. Look at history--man has always created his gods--this latest god is nothing new. And do you really think that man doesn't take pride in the gods he creates? Look at Christianity vs Islam or Christianity vs any religion. You people honestly think you're Number One. You think you are the top of the heap. You think Christ is actually the King of all gods.

I hate to tell you but what a crock of shit. Christianity is no different than any other religion--it serves to repress those who believe. The purpose of all religion is to control the behavior of those who believe and Christianity may well be the most successful religion at doing just that.

Oh, I do as much as any Christian Fred. I provide scholarships to both my alma mater's and my wife spend's almost all of her salarie on taking care of her students--anything from housing, to supplies, to scholarships once they graduate. Then there's the little things like donating to the local ASPCA, the homeless recovery center, and Austin Street Center (clothing, meals, and a place to sleep). Then of course we've donated all our assets to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation upon our deaths. Aside from that I don't do much for anyone else--how about you--do you do anything for your fellow man??? As for doing for myself--I've found that by doing for others I am doing for myself. You Christians should try that--it's a hell of a feeling knowing that through your efforts someone else is going to have a better life.

The difference between Christianity and EVERY other religion is that every other religion requires works to achieve Heaven, Nirvana, etc. All Christianity "requires" is that you accept the FREE gift of what Jesus did in your place for you on the cross.

If God doesn't die, then Jesus is not God. Jesus is dead, but he has also been kicked out of Heaven and reincarnated. He is an old man and will be the leader of the "sons of darkness". Jesus is Lucifer, Satan's counterfeit messiah. The name means "morning star" and that was who Jesus claimed to be. Revelation 22:16. Satan has also been reincarnated but will be executed by the Messiah with a sharp, two-edged sword for "crucifying" the Messiah. Job 20:25. "It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him". Isaiah 27:1. "In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea". The serpent is a part of Satan's (Adam's) anatomy, he is the Messiah's father, and the "crucifixion" was a sexual act. He also enslaved the Messiah in his childhood, paying $1.50 for twenty hours of yard and house work, or about 7 1/2 cents an hour. Satan is the only person who will rot forever in Hell.
