At best, he was seriously mistaken when he declared that in 2015 U.S. Rep. Frederica Wilson boasted about securing the funds for the FBI’s new Miramar headquarters. At worst, the very worst, he lied.

Given the video of Wilson’s speech at the dedication ceremony released Friday by the Sun Sentinel, we, with regret, think he lied. In attempting to a provide cover for President Trump, whom Wilson criticized for an insensitive call to a Miami Gardens war widow, Kelly’s “recollection,” shared on Thursday at an extraordinary press conference was too specific, so detailed — and, of course, ropes in his boss’ imagined nemesis, President Obama: “A congresswoman stood up, and in a long tradition of empty barrels making the most noise, stood up there in all of that and talked about how she was instrumental in getting the funding for that building, and how she took care of her constituents because she got the money, and she just called up President Obama, and on that phone call, he gave the money — the $20 million — to build the building, and she sat down, and we were stunned.”
As the video makes clear, by the time “she sat down,” Wilson had praised the FBI, paid tribute to the two slain agents, whose names grace the building because of her efforts, and lauded her Republican colleagues for fast-tracking her legislation.

As Trump’s chief of staff, Kelly was supposed to be the adult in the nursery that used to be the Oval Office. But there’s something about the company he keeps.
Kelly’s willingness to stray so far from the truth, to lob insults at an elected official, to ignore what’s really significant — the unanswered questions of a military operation in Niger in which four Green Berets were killed, including Sgt. La David Johnson for whom funeral services were held in Miami-Dade on Saturday — all say that Trump is winning the battle to corrupt all who come within his sphere.

In truth, Trump’s enablers are required to do such intricate spin jobs on his behalf, that often they spin out of control.
And affirming the administration’s slide into authoritarianism, spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Friday petulantly lectured reporters that questioning a four-star general such as Kelly was “highly inappropriate.” It was a chilling statement, and further proof of the Trump administration’s hostility toward not just the media, but the people — Americans — on whose behalf the media work.

How do you know that it was an "Insensitive Call"? Were you in the car and listening in on the conversation also, or you listened to just part of the conversation, as Frederica Wilson said is all that she heard? So far the question has been is Frederica Wilson lying, being in close quarters of a car and hearing a conversation over a cell phone on speaker, that she wan't meant to hear, and then when accused of eaves-dropping, claimed she only heard part of the conversation, in order to claim she wasn't eaves-dropping. Really, she accidently heard only some of the conversation in the close quarters of the car because the cell phone was on speaker? One wonders in those close quarters of a car when you can hear a conversation on a cell phone because it is on speaker, then what caused you not to hear the entire conversation? Was it not wanting to be accused of eaves-dropping, so she lied about not hearing the entire conversation, which in those conditions, anyone and everyone would have heard the entire conversation unless they were deaf. So is she is lying about only hearing part of the conversation, and if she is, how do we know she isn't also lying about what she claimes she over-heard? What a coincidence, she only overheard the part of the converation that was insensitive, or is she also claiming that the whole conversation was insensitive?

There is more to this than just General Kelly mis-stating the time when he heard Frederica Wislon try to take all the credit for getting the funding for that FBI building. There were a couple of other times during the opening of that building when General Kelly was around Frederica Wilson, and had the opportunity to overhear Frederica Wilson say, what General Kelly claims to have heard that she said, to many different people, who were also there at the opening of that FBI building, than just during the time that she made that speech.

So now we have you shamefully calling General Kelly a liar, when you wouldn't even make a pimple on General Kelly's ass. But if you want to talk about liars, let's talk about the proven ones, like Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, John Podesta, Susan Rice, Eric Holder, Debbie Wassernman Schults, Donna Brazile, Jonathon Gruber, all of Obama's 'Press Secretaries', James Clapper, John Brennan, James Comey, and after reading many of your comments on these OPP sites, you fit right in and should be on that list too, which if I wrote all those proven liars that have been in the federal government for the last 8 years, it would include most of Obama's cabinet members, as well as their staffs, especially the staff of Hillary Clinton.

You're just another typical hypocrite and liberal liar, which puts you in good standing with all the Democrats.

Selective hearing, are you aware that you suffer from that? Kelly is either a liar or suffers from extraordinary prejudice memory. His total recollection of that ceremony with Rep Wilson goes totally against the facts. Not a word of truth. And he was there. He should be "stunned" either by his bad memory or lying to the public.

You never said anything when Obama claimed that he had "visited all 57 states" when he was campaigning for President, oops, or did he just misspeak, or was he lying again then, just like he was when he said Obamacare would allow all Americans who liked their healthcare policies, could keep their kealthcare policies; that all Americans who liked and trusted their doctors, could keep their doctors; that Obamacare would cause all Americans' healthcare costs to be reduced by at least $2,500.00 a year for a family of 4; and Obamacare would be "neutral funded", and not costs the states or the federal government one thin dime?

Oh that's right, Obama is a liberal liar, so you never said anything like that about him when referring to any of the thousands of lies that he boldfacedly told the American people, as you do about President Trump and his surrogates, or about any of the lies of Obama's surrogates, as I listed as the liars they have proven themselves to be by also telling the American people many lies in support of Obama's lies, as they tried to keep the truth hidden from the American people, who eventually found out what the truth really was.

And this is more Fox News: "Oh that's right, Obama is a liberal liar, so you never said anything like that about him when referring to any of the thousands of lies that he boldfacedly told the American people." When you call a war hero, who misspoke about when he heard, what he said he had heard was spoken, a liar, when there were other people around who can attest to what was said, but at a differnet time during the event, and say nothing about when Obama misspoke and actually lied may other things many other times, makes you guilty of everything you claim about me. Clean your own backyard before you start complainging about my backyard, as I gave examples of what I'm sure is true, even though you claim to have called Obama a war criminal, show me where you condemned Obama about misspeaking about his comment about visiting all 57 states during his 2008 campaign for the Presidncy.
