When Richard Nixon resigned as the vice closed on him decent Americans were furious, their president was indeed a crook who damaged the nations very fiber. Many feel his hand picked successor, Gerald Ford, pardoned Nixon in exchange for the presidency, personally I think it was an ill informed attempt to heal the nation, sadly trying Nixon for his crimes would have accomplished exactly that. The decision likely cost Ford the election. The question now is will Pence learn from Ford’€™s mistake and let Trump be sent to prison to increase his chances in 2020, or will he fall on his sword for Trump and pardon his crimes?
