The USA is lagging behind Canada,France,Europe,China,England,Italy,Germany, and Australia. Why in the world would these countries have hemp farming and we don't? Because we are free? Free to what? Free to pay taxes, this plant can and is imported into this country in the form of seed, fiber, textiles, and food. But we can't grow it? FREEDUMB!!!! is america. The USA is the only First world county that is not growing this plant. Please watch a YouTube Vedeo called "Green Miracle" The Growing Industrial Hemp Market. RIP Jack Herer

Bravo, Michigan :!: The history of how hemp became a no-no crop in this country is both fascinating and disgusting.

I knew a farmer out in Nebraska who grew a field of hemp for Uncle Sam during WW2. Back in the 50s he complained that these weird hippies were showing up every fall and prowling the hedgerows along the field where he grew the pot. (I just couldn't bring myself to explain the mystery!)

Sorry, for the misinformation, signed into law Feb.2, 2014 in the Farm Bill this country now has the right again to grow hemp. Hemp Hemp Hooray!!! But still, sadly enough, we are the last First World Country to get on the ball. We now have the opportunity to join the world market again. I hope we can utilize this plant to its full potential! Only about a dozen states will be growing this spring, but with awareness and education I would hope to see other states apply for permits and start growing the only plant that can save the world. The list of products made from this one plant range to around 50,000. Please do some research and be part of the innovation that helps make this plant even more useful. Like making your legislators start utilizing the thirty to forty barrels of oil per acre this plant produces, or at least stop cutting trees at the rate we are cutting, hemp is more than 4 times more productive per acre at least scientific research shows that in a 20 year study that we can produce more than 4 times the amount of paper, plywood and any wood product in the same space we just got 20 barrels of oil out of. Not to mention all of the hemp seed that was crushed to extract these barrels of oil are still very nutritious to cattle and can help bring down the cost of beef. So just in this brief lesson from a uneducated truck driver you got cheaper fuel, cheaper food, and a cleaner environment due to a bio-fuel verse foreign petrochemical that has caused war around the world. Time to pay the farmers to grow crops and stop paying them to not grow crops! And like I've said, uneducated truck driver! Please help me by at the very least proving me wrong, I won't take offence and I will still pray for you if you give me some constructive criticism. God Bless the USA and Hemp Hemp Hooray!
