American husband and wife were freed from Taliban controlled captors. after 5 yrs in captivity.. They had 5 children in captivity..Husband said that his wife was raped and his infant daughter murdered by captives.....They pleaded with Obama administration to help them ,but nothing happened.... Thanks to Trump they are free at last!!..But the question is what were they doing in Afghanistan where that area is dangerous for Americans...

Two things:
The husband is/was a Canadian, wife is from Pennsylvania.
According to news reports they were on a 'backpacking trip'. Doesn't seem like the brightest move. However, glad they are free.
They flew to Canada not the US.
