I really do try to be self-critical. When I say that, I mean down to the core values of my philosophy of life. I'm an admirer of Ayn Rand. That's why the handle. She has been demonized by the left for her supposedly heartless thoughts on the virtues of altruism. Personally, the only thing I ever had an argument with her on was her stance on dance and music. You would have to be a fan to know what I'm talking about. This being said, I find myself siding with the Libertarians on most issues, but when only two possibilities exist, I side with the Republicans. Mostly for what they say, not for what they do. If they don't repeal Obamacare and pass tax reform, however, I am done with them.
Now to the point. The horrid hypocrites of politics lie on both sides, but the utterly shameless ones are on the left. That includes the posters here on OPP. A particularly scummy one posted about the departure of Secretary Price with the usual epithets about the 'Swamp', but failing to point out that when a Republican does something scummy, he falls on his sword. Democrats get on a plane with the Attorney General and tell them not to indict their wife. They tell us we can keep our healthcare and our doctors when they KNOW it's a lie. They sic their dogs (the IRS) on political opponents. They plead the Fifth under oath and keep their jobs and pensions. They vote themselves largess. They mar the Oval Office, then lie, murder, threaten and coerce their way out of it. How can you be disbarred and not resign the presidency? How can you pay $800,000 in a civil suit and not be too ashamed to show your face? It sickens me that George W. Bush shares the stage with him. And I'm no big fan of W.. How do you tell a gullible public a video incited a militia to attack your embassy and lie to the bereaved families of the victims. If they were to give you an honest answer, it would be, "Because we're shameless,".
A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory. - Steven Wright - BrainyQuote. This is funny, but unfortunately not true for the left. I have come to the conclusion that the only thing the left can sell to the public is lies. They're not smart enough to build and sell a wheel or a light bulb or a computer. It's why so many rich, professional actors are lefties. They lie for a living. They tell you stealing in the name of the public good is good. It's a lie on the face of it. Aren't I part of the public? What good is it for me for you to steal from me with my sanction? When they tell you "It's for the children", it's a lie. They don't give a crap about your children. They care about their children. They don't go into public life to help people, they go in to feed at the government trough, or make millions from inside information they would be prosecuted for in the private sector. The only people I trust in government, are the ones who were successful in the private sector before they entered. The Pauls and the Donald come to mind. I don't trust anyone who never had a job.

I agree there are idiots and scum on both sides BUT(theres always a but) I see the democrats sliding closer and closer to a communist type of agenda which to me is scary. As for the passing of a bill getting rid of obama care that is life time politicians who need to go home. If you would like to see a change then look up the convention of states if they can get every thing they need they want to put term limits on these people and make it so they cannt collect large sums of money from lobbist from large corporations plus a lot of other things. This is a way for states to rain in the goverment that has become way to greedy. Interesting read if your interested.

I'm familiar with the convention of states. Big Mark Levin fan. Perhaps my least favorite amendment after the 18th, was the 17th. The Senate was the one voice the states had in the federal government and should never have been given over to the popular vote.
Many of the convention of states people are in favor of term limits, however. I prefer that the vote be the limiter. Term limits would be an acceptable alternative.

150 yrs ago, the Patriots would have stormed DC and eliminated the traitors, today we sit back and watch them, piss and moan, and let them suck taxpayers money to stuff their bank accts, promote perverted agendas, kill Americans(WTC) False flag events, all while being spread by a subversive media. I could go on, but why.

Good post Matt. I've read both the fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. I liked both, different reading.

I actually performed in a community theatre production of her play, "Night of January 16th". I was the gangster.

Anyone that runs for a political office should be required to have 3 to 5 years experience in private sector jobs.
Most in government have no concept of the average persons daily struggles.

Exactly, most people in power have a gold spoon up up their ass, and shit for brains. You need to look no further than Waters, Pelosi, Warren, Schumer, and Feinstein.
