OK, you have never had a reason to believe his claims, either.

You are too kind.

When will some of those left leaning people get around to destroying that WW II soldier made of bronze? Probably it isn't tall enough for them to worry about.

I am undoubtedly the biggest ass on this forum, even I would never question him on his service.

Just what the hell do you mean YOU'RE the biggest ass on this forum? Look around. LOL

The governments of Venezuela and North Korea came out today offering asylum to those oppressed NFL players who refuse to stand for the National Anthem.

"We understand how oppressive that song can be and if you accept our offer, you will never have to hear it again." said a joint spokesperson. "We would also invite them to deposit their funds in our banks and invest in our countries. It would be worthwhile."

The governments also reminded the players that they are still owned by capitalist team owners so we understand their oppression is real.

Meanwhile Nancy Polosi, Charles Schumer and their mascot Maxine Waters have introduced legislation to ban the playing of the Star Spangled Banner at all sporting events.

A spokesperson for the Democratic party said that the Democrats kneel in solidarity with the players and understand the oppression that the song represents: "We feel that the old Soviet Anthem is more in line with party-approved thought and besides, it has a much catchier tune. Looking at the history of the American Anthem, it was once a bawdy drinking song and is no longer appropriate, considering it was written by a privileged white male."

Maxine Waters added that Trump should be impeached for introducing such an oppressive song.

I never said I didn't have some close competition Loki. I have been accused of being the most vile poster on multiple occasions, the second most racist more times than I could count.

I do not include these liberal loons in my claim of biggest ass.......I cannot compete with people who were hatched as assholes....I had to train for a few years to get where I am at

Ok salty, I have no problem with a protest, however inappropriate it may be and however much the NFL will turn their heads to allow it. That being said, what is it, exactly, they are protesting?

They're "protesting" the fact that after generations of trying to get the people in charge of things to write "laws" to provide reparations for the past and guarantees for the future, they still can't control what people think. They refuse to see that the people who have what they think they want actually fight to acquire and maintain it. This country guantees no outcomes for anybody............only the opportunity to try.

Willy, I believe you to be spot-on with this and your previous comments regarding Saltwind 78. I agree wholeheartedly, thinking well of the man and to his honestly and sincerity...despite any differences we may have. There is no 'stolen honor' within him. I do not doubt his military service during the Viet Nam conflict. I would have been proud to have had him by my side in that war.

So that when you are in a Congregation, people stand singing for the glory and praise to God, you resist doing that. Instead you do another act against the presence of God, and against your country.

So, kneeling depends upon to whom they are kneeling, like kneel to Satan, and another authority. They might just as well raise their butts and moan.

Speaking somewhat to the subject of asses on OPP, I am reminded of the late, great columnist Mike Royko's comment of "It's been my policy to view the internet not as an 'information highway,' but (as) an electronic asylum filled with babbling loonies."

Of course, Loki, that would not include you, WeeWilly...or, me.

It's a question of "intent". Standing (with the right hand over the heart) has been the accepted way of showing respect and acceptance of the symbols of the national anthem and the American flag. By doing the OPPOSITE of the traditional and accepted way, these players are obviously DISRESPECTING these symbols. People kneel for many different reasons, (as you well know). Standing, facing our flag with hand over heart has one distinct connotation: respect. Trying to connect the fact that these players are kneeling to mitigate what they are REALLY doing is disingenuous and misleading! Nice try though.

Kneeling = Contrition and humility.
Standing tall = Pride.
Are you proud of your country, or are you contrite? You ARE full of bullshit!
