What has happened to Trump?
A fight for the Republican Party's soul in Alabama.
In his Alabama speech, President Trump called Judge Roy Moore "a good man," pledged "to campaign like hell for Moore" in the general election, and admitted that an ill-considered endorsement of Moore's opponent "might be a mistake."

My friend, unless you've been under a rock for the past six months, you're aware that Alabama is once again the site of a civil war. This time it is a fight for the soul of the Republican Party, and it is being played out in the run-off primary election between conservative jurist Roy Moore and scandal-plagued Washington lobbyist Luther Strange.

It's a war between the corrupt old guard of the party controlled by Mitch McConnell and his ilk, and the conservative voters who SHOULD be in control of the party.

The voters who time after time vote for politicians who campaign as conservatives, then govern as gutless liberals, breaking every promise they ever made, offering one excuse after another for why they didn't do what they said they would, whether that is repeal Obamacare, build the Wall, or defund Planned Parenthood.

In Judge Roy Moore, those conservative voters finally have a candidate who they know won't compromise his values to save his job, because he has already twice lost his job for refusing to compromise his values.

Praised by Ann Coulter and Ben Carson, Judge Moore is the candidate of choice for Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Phil Robertson, Chuck Norris, James Dobson, Mike Huckabee, Louie Gohmert, Sarah Palin, Sebastian Gorka, Steve Bannon and a hundred other good conservatives.

But those corrupt, deal-cutting liberal Republicans have their candidate, too, in Luther Strange, a man so thoroughly under Mitch McConnell's thumb there's nothing left to see of his Abe Lincoln-sized frame. They are pulling out all the stops to try to drag their corrupt lobbyist across the line first. Right now their candidate is losing in every poll, thank God above, but the lead has withered to within the margin of error....

What has happened to Trump? br A fight for the Rep... (show quote)

I have a very simple smell test for a candidate. If Mitch (the bitch) McConnell supports them, I oppose them.

I don't get the point you are making when you start this article "What has Happened to Trump" Very simply, he changed his mind!!! Have you not reconsidered your position on something? I, for one, am thankful he did. He's not a perfect man. No one is except Christ. Just wish you all would give him a break and thank GOD the election didn't go the other way.

My guess is that Trump made a deal with McConnell, to gain his support for repeal/replace, he agreed to support the strange one.

We all make mistakes, let's just hope that Trump learned the lesson.

You didn't get the point, PZG?
You are able to ignore how corrupt Luther Strange's back ground is?

You are for making deals with the devil?

What the hell does it matter both of theses ass clowns suck, I guess Moore is a bit crazier and would crap up the senate with his antics, Trump is a media whore and likely doesn't want the competition.

OK, I GET the point. I guess the question is, why he would back Strange in the first place. Before you publicly throw your hat in the ring with a candidate, don't you vet them at least? I'm such a Trump fan that I bristle when he is criticized. But would truly love to know the answer to that question. I can't believe it was to appease the weasels McConnell and Ryan.

And back to Arizona, where he could cross the border into Mexico!

He could bunk with a drug cartel.
