A serious question for those who support abortion.

And seeing as there are States who determine a human legally dead when there is no beating heart, I think this is a viable way of determining when human life legally begins...

I do not doubt what you say, but nothing a lower court defines can abridge the ruling of the The Supreme Court of Law.. They can make their own decisions like Texas did when they were trying to shut down abortions "in the best interest of the person" and when challenged, lost... Supreme Court had no problem in telling them they could not do as they were trying...
Roe v Wade established the right of choice
the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its landmark decision in the case of Roe v. Wade, which recognized the constitutional right to privacy extends to a woman’s right to make her own personal medical decisions — including the decision to have an abortion without interference from politicians.....
While they have amended it they have not nor will they ever strike it down..The Supreme has never struck its ruling once made and they then follow their rulings when other things come out that show a need to modify..From its forming to now only 10 times have they added opinion to their original ruling..
I don't argue your merits of a beating heart at 13 weeks because I haven't studied it..
However, the SCOTUS would have to amend their ruling back life sustaining at 23 weeks which I do not think they would.. We all know babies born prematurely 24 to 31 weeks have a high mortality rate, not all die but the greater percentage do..
As for abortions full term Virtually all abortions past 24 weeks are performed for “very severe" medical reasons such as severe deformity or no brain function etc.. on this bases I feel there is a medical necessity, but other than that one issue it's damn murder and patient plus the Dr. should be charged!!
