A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the London's Parsons Green Tube bomb blast, has been identified as Syrian refugee Yahyah Farroukh.

It is understood Mr Farroukh had been detained in Hounslow, west London on Sunday.

This comes as UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd has announced the UK's terror threat level has been lowered from 'critical' to 'severe'.

The level had been raised on Friday to the highest - critical - following the bucket bomb blast at London's Parsons Green Tube station that left 30 passengers

Troops were deployed to key locations so armed police were freed up to patrol the streets.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the west London bombing, and Ms Rudd has announced the UK threat level was being downgraded.

'I would urge everybody to continue to be vigilant but not alarmed,' she said.

'During the next few days, the military will return to their original positions.

'I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them for their hard work, and also the police, the security services and the emergency services who did such a fantastic job.'

She added that the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC), which sets the terror threat level, had decided 'sufficient progress has been made' to lower it.

But she warned the Parsons Green investigation was 'still an ongoing operation'.

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley, who is the UK's most senior counter-terrorism officer, also announced that police were 'getting a greater understanding of the preparation of the device'.

He confirmed more police - some armed - would remain in place on the streets and transport networks at the beginning of the week.

The announcements come after two men were being held in connection with the Tube blast.

Another 18-year-old man had been arrested in the departure lounge of Dover port, in Kent.

These are British citizens that are being harmed....does she think her people are just animals being lead to the slaughter? Good Lord!!

IVe been watching Great Britain including Scotland and I feel quite dismayed. The Brits are not normally so meek, but it's as though they've been brainwashed. Something like 36 major cities now have Muslim mayors. What can they be thinking or are they not even thinking. We're just as bad and we're in line to get ours. Everyone will be so surprised although they have had so much warning. The people who elected and re-elected the OBAMA still don't realize what they did. Probably never will.

Hey there SW. In my opinion there is NO MAYBE AT ALL!!!!! I truly think its about damn time for all of these judicial assholes to be immediately sued by every single family that has been negatively impacted. The bleeding heart progressive judges are traitors to the United States! I not only find it insane, hypocritical and extremely dangerous that these so called jurists have been allowed to continue. These (and pardon my language here) FUCKERS need to be immediatly charged not from this point on, but retroactively for crimes against the citizens of the United States of America. As a direct result of their judgements based on their progressive and political PC FEELINGS rather then the rule of law as set forth by the CONSTITUTION as well as all federal laws that fully over rides various state an local statutes and of course their FEELINGS. For every single death, mugging, rape, home invvasion and so on and so forth due to legislating from the bench they should be given a mandatory six months to a year in prison (for every single one the above mentioned crimes that have taken place within their local jurisdictions, due to interferance with the duties of the federal government/Law Enforcement. This should be accompanied by the complete loss of all pay and allowances, properties, retirements and bank accounts that they currently are in possesion of. Perhaps, other then the crying and wet panties these indivduals will get the picture so as follow the law. I will say this though. I believe that judges as a whole should be able to have leeway as to dealing with INDIVIDUALS on a CASE BY CASE BASIS. However that does not mean legislating from the bench. The laws of this country must be followed without excuse. Just sayin. Your thoughts please as I am not a lawyer or a politician. However, I fully understand enough to know wqhen you, me anad the rest of the country are at risk of the potential down fall from the enemies from within.

One of the reasons I supported candidate Trump was he was the ONLY candidate who didn't support amnesty. I, for one, am really tired of the invasion from the south. I would cheer if for once I didn't' have to hear "press 2 for Spanish". This used to be an English speaking country. I have lived in Montréal, Canada and I can tell you that bilingualism is divisive. Unity is fostered by being able to effectively communicate in a common language.
