Hey guys, Irma is going to affect many states and be extremely expensive. Georgia, S. Cackalacki are already being blasted, NC and Va. are next but not so bad. No telling how this Mother is going to effect Ala. Between Harvey and Irma it's being estimated at $200,000,000,000. I think that's low ball. And then Jose is right behind which will probably hit the eastern seaboard between Va. and NJ or NY. It's going to be a hairy year for $'s for relief.

In my opinion don't give to the Red Cross. Instead give to where the money will actually go to relief and not to salaries. I'm giving to Salvation Army and Salvation Purse, if you live in locally hit areas, to your local charities.

Keep in mind, give what you can but this is going to be a LONG term situation so maybe don't go full in but think about stretching you contributions out over time. We and the charities are going to be years getting through this. Heck, Katrina, Sandy, etal, haven't fully recovered so don't expect immediate and total results.

Good luck and GOD SPEED to all effected by these storms and GOD bless all those going down to help in both communities, Houston and Florida. Mike

I contribute to Salvation Army over many because they do turn it right out to the needy, from jobs, to housing..

A great suggestion, few years back I did some checking on a few and they do give the most!!

You are right Mike, it's going to be a long hall for many and need will be there for a long time!!!

You can also donate clothing, shoes, and anything else that you think would help..

My radio station took 3 huge trucks to Texas and today they said " we need more" as much of anything as you want to give... Another that is taking it right to people not through some charity never to be seen or known about later...

Thank You for this post ...

Humanity does rule!!!

Yes indeed, I already did what I could to help ranchers in Texas and I do think if anyone is going to send money or anything else, that the Salvation Army is one of the few organizations that will not "dip into" the funding for personal gain. In Texas they have some information on where you can send money to, and I am very sure Florida or any other place affected by these storms, will have information as well for donations.
