AS IF THE CITY OF hOUSTON HASN'T SEEN ENOUGHTRAGEDY DUE TO hARVEY

As if the city of Houston hadn't seen enough tragedy due to Harvey,
things took a turn for the worse today when a U.S.Navy ship collided with a building in downtown Houston.
The Navy has declined comment, but the ship has been identified an Arliegh Burke class Destroyer belonging to the 6th Fleet.
It is unclear why the ship was unable to see the huge building and take evasive action,or why it was twenty miles inland, navigating through a major metropolitan area.
Emylita Brown,a witness) said ;"I had jus climbed onto my roof to get outta the risin waters, when I sees this big ol ship come sailin right down my street.
I sez to myself,"lawsy ,deys comin to save me!"But it jus went right on by an plowed into that big ol buildin"!
This makes the fifth collision for the Navy's beleaguered Destroyers this Spring.
Despite reticence from the Navy,a senior defense officer speculated that the ship had veered off course from it's patrol of the South China Sea.

I commented that this was better than the things I read in The Onion. The writer has a real knack for humor.
