So I read the article, what was the disgusting thing he brought with him? The laws and regs covering Presidential pensions and expenses were initially instituted to prevent Harry Truman having to live in poverty. It was never intended to allow former presidents the werewithal to continue roaming the world as though they were still in office nor to maintain a staff of servants in perpetuity. A cap needs to be put on all such suport funds and it should not be in the millions. A reasonable total for expenses would be twice the median income.

Even George Washington was prone to excessive spending because initially he got only expenses. These grew to include even his poker losings and the next Congress had to force him to take a salary and pay his own expenses. There is no limit to the needs of someone who does not have to pay for what he gets.
