Okay, I will be on my very best behavior. I went back to find a starting point for your comments. Unfortunately you started out attacking others. I looked and I looked until I found this comment. " You should be damm proud you're legislators can go and vote against disaster relief for other states and then have the rest of the country helping you. Yup all Texans claim to be American only when they need the help of the big government that they hate. What is scary is the American people even though Texas rejected disaster relief for other states this country did step up to protect Texas from there own ignorance. "

So how about we civilly converse about the State of Texas and whether they were hypocritical ? You will have to inform me as what incident you were referring to where the politicians of Texas voted against disaster help to other states. I am fairly sure there was pork involved.

According to the breakdown the only thing in that bill that could be conceivably be considered pork was an additional $44.5 million to ungraded two aircrafts known as the Hurricane hunters. That was added

I suggest you re-Google the subject matter again, that is if you really want the straight scoop.

Did you read the Sandy hook budget and the brake down. By that comment you're just listening to Ted the idiot Cruz because he had to justify his vote after Texas got hit. Now it's a well known fact Poppa you don't read legislation you just believe what you are told. The only thing in that $40 billion bill that could be perceived as pork was the $20 million used to upgrade the Two Hurricane Hunter aircraft but democrats and republicans agreed that this was needed and they added it to the bill. Instead of addressing it separately now the money was going to be spent anyway so why create a new bill new legislation for the upgrade.

No it was not the bill addressed a lot of issues that were created by Sandy so what you're saying is throw NJ and NY some water bottles and sweep up the the streets. Until the Next hurricane hits. I believe when these disasters hit the relief package should be structured to minimize the the damage if another hurricane hits. Would that not create a savings and an investment in the future for our coastal towns. Now let's see what happens in Texas and then we can compare the two bills.

It's not about pork it's an investatment into the future to minimize damage

I do not agree with you, but you stated your case well. I do not know whether pursuing this line of discussion is worth it anymore. The Senators from Texas stated their reasons for their votes and I accept them at their word. I can see why you do not.

Moving on, have you noticed the difference in outcomes among the three state/territories who were hit by the Hurricanes Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico ? Other than Trump hating Hispanics, why do you think Texas and Florida are recovering better than Puerto Rico ?
