Proactive and not reactive

It is better to be proactive than reactive. Being proactive saves you money. Being reactive cost you money. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Applying God’s word to your life makes you proactive.. For example let’s consider adultery. God came to this planet and wrote with His finger in stone not to commit adultery. It will be more beneficial to you if you found out the person is married, than reading Exodus 20:14 after you have become pregnant with a married man’s child. We should have not have sex with strangers.
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that commiteth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1 Corinthians 6:18
What does this mean? If I hit you in the head and take your wallet, I might get away with it. But you have a busted head and no cash. But if I have sex with a stranger, a lot of negative circumstances can occur. I may get V.D. The woman may be insane. I may find myself having to support a woman who takes child support money, and spends it on herself. It is easier not to drive after you have had a beer, than to fix your life after you have been charged with driving under the influence. God’s word is a shield. A shield is useless if it is on the ground when the arrow is fired.
