It is too simple and scary: America is divided by a huge gulf

600,000 Americans lost their lives when we were at odds in this same way back in 1860. That included men, women, and children. You're children and grandchildren today are on the chopping block. Press your agenda and most will surely die as with collateral damage? Estimates today are a few hundred million in casualties. Plus making us a Third World Nation, easy pickings to be divided by Russia and China. These are stark facts! Freaking Congress needs to do something to alleviate this crisis. No more dopey bills they cannot pass; act on the great divide in America.

Asking the Congress to solve this problem, is like asking a burglar to fix your home security issues. Notice how we have gotten comfortable with the phrase "across the aisle", as though working with their fellows from another party is a magnanimous gesture? Since when did it become above and beyond the call of duty, to do whatever it takes to get shit done?

What is the basic premise behind the different party schemes anyway? Ostensibly, it is different approaches on how to reach the exact same goal, which is - what is best for America and the American people. That being the case, why is it so hard to work together toward that common goal? The answer is, the party premise is pretty much crap, the overriding theme being what is best for the party, i.e., what entices the most donors, the most votes and the most power......to do..............nothing.

We talk like we accept the Constitutional premise of individual freedom, but we act like that's only true for those that behave the way we want them to. We talk like we agree with the freedom of speech, but seek to punish those that say shit we don't like. We talk like we believe in the autonomy of the States and the sacredness of State's rights, and complain when we feel the Federal Government is trampling them - then turn around and demand that the Federal Government do something to control those States that do shit we don't like.

In short...............Americans are bipolar as hell.

Sad thing is there's no playbill, so we have no way of knowing who's who.

Asking the Congress to solve this problem, is like... (show quote)

The people are being manipulated through party affiliations. Revolutions are built on a simple idea. Mine is for all Americans, one by one, to leave the two-party system and become independent voters. We might not all agree on which politician is best for any given office, but we can all agree that every politician is made worse by the two-party system. So let’s at least get rid of that.
