I just listened to a North Korean girl on my facebook feed telling me of the horrors of living in North Korea and I have to wonder with our eagerness to Nuke the north are we only going to try to take out Kim and military targets or are we going to vaporize the entire country? I ask this because most N Koreans are probably like this little girl and simply wanting a better life not to die because of two madmen...

Glad to know I am not the only one here wondering this. If we go nuclear, it will be more than just the bad guys.

We don't have a weapon that can pick out only the bad guys.you sound like a foolish Pollyanna.I think your kind just wait for someone to pop us with a super bomb then you can start hollering surrender.

NO: I am a realist who realized more than a half century ago where this was all heading. If "someone...pop(s) us with a super bomb" we won't be in any condition to holler anything.

How effective are we Americans at controlling OUR Government? Un's family has been systematically conditioning the people of N. Korea for half a century, and they're born knowing that even a whisper of dissent means death or a re-education camp. America is nothing if it's not an equal opportunity bully, we punish the people for what it's government/dictator does - as though a person who has demonstrated a complete disregard for his own people's lives would be the least bit affected.

Carpet bombing Germany didn't cause the German people to rise up against Hitler, it just killed massive numbers of non combatants. Operation "rolling Thunder" I & II, didn't convince the Vietnamese to cease and desist. Killing civilians, allies, and our own troops in Syria with non stop bombing, hasn't hastened the end of that war either. What's it goona take for us to realize that a bomb rarely solves a problem?

We could nuke N. Korea - and China could nuke us, or our allies might nuke us, as a way to prevent WWIII. The N. Korean authorities are already well aware of our military might and capabilities, and threatening to use it against them doesn't faze them a bit. Kim knows he's an ass, he knows his people know he's an ass, he knows the whole world knows he's an ass. and the little f&ck is scared, and scared little boys ALWAYS bluster, threaten, and try to scare others right back.

Shooting down N. Korean rockets that pass into international waters without fanfare or photo op's, would send the strongest message of all, be more effective - and would have the added value of not scaring the pants off of our allies.

Point is Willy, there are innocent people in NK that are as much caught up in this as anyone. Do we simply trying a surgical strike or go full guns with no regard to whom we kill? Whats the difference between justifiable homicide and murder?

I am a FAC,, forward air controller, I directed bombs against targets,,, there to make visual confirmation of the target,, ie no civilians,,,,,,,

You seem very educated on this subject,,,,, describe what a surgical strike of a 500lb bomb moving at over 400 knots,,,, actually is, and how do you do it??

Or is this just more of your phony leftist,,, "shoot the guns out of their hands" bullshit?

War is the spearpoint of diplomacy,,,, when diplomacy fails, you get war,,,,,, the failures are on your civilian lying shitbags,,, who drive your car around all over hell,,, with a " no war for oil" bumber sticker..........

No Peter, that country stands behind their leader like a pack brainwashed Davidians, they have had 2 generations to rid themselves of being ruled in that manner.........there are no innocents at this stage of the game on that side.....not many on ours either.

Time to pay the piper, with that being said........the end will justify the means. you may not believe in a God, but I suggest you get to praying pretty quick.

I also am concerned about all the innocent people in both NK and in SK who would be killed.
But in war this happens "collateral damage".
I think we should be able to depend more on SK to defend themselves but they seem to have a very liberal President.
I am concerned now that Obama has sent a "Missile Expert" to help his fat ugly little buddy.
