From me. This was to be a peaceful protest against the removal of the statue of Robert E. Lee by the City of Charlottesville. It was peaceful until they were attacked by leftists yet the right is blamed. The Fake news reports the KKK was there because some Flags of the Army of Northern Virginia were present which was Lee's battle flag. During the War between the States it identified his army from other Confederate Armies. It is also known as St. Andrews Cross. I'm so fed up with the reporting which is so biased and glorifies the leftist, ugh, can't think of a word that shows my contempt. The worm has turned, the shit is going to hit the fan. This is in my neighborhood and I'll soon be in the middle of it. Cici, you have been wanting this, you better not be all mouth, pray for me. Mike

Senators and other elected officials from both parties joined in denouncing the violence in Charlottesville, Va., Saturday after clashes between white-supremacist marchers and counter-protesters left at least one person dead and more than 30 injured. A number of them implicitly, or even explicitly, said President Trump’s response to the incident did not go far enough in opposing white supremacists and right wing extremism.

Shortly after a car drove into a crowd of counter-protesters, Trump, who has been reluctant to rebuke the actions of his extremist supporters in the past, gave a statement responding to the “terrible events unfolding in Charlottesville,” telling reporters at his golf club in New Jersey, “We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides.”

A White House official later told to Yahoo News, “The President was condemning hatred, bigotry and violence from all sources and all sides,” adding that, “There was violence between protesters and counter protesters today.”

The president’s failure to specifically speak out against white supremacists and other far right extremists, who had descended on Charlottesville for a “Unite the Right” rally to protest the planned removal of a Confederate statue in this relatively moderate university town, drew criticism from within his own party.

As could be expected. As usual, the public is lied to, not completely, just enough to twist things a little bit. I don't pretend to know what really happened there or who instigated it. All I can do is pay attention and try to figure out things the best I can. In a lot of these cases there are agitators who are hired by clandestine groups to create some kind of disturbance that can later be blamed on someone. I have no idea if that is the case here. I hope cooler minds will prevail and we can talk about it to come to our own conclusions without hating anyone.

When people get backed into a corner, it's natural to fight back. I'm sure the agitators were there, paid well to do what they do so well. But White Nationalists will always be blamed. We may as well give up, we're beaten.

I agree, the only difference between the KKK and BLM is the race. Neither is good.

Gener, it is already at least national news as President Trump is being blamed and is being accused of being complacent because he isn't putting down the RIGHTWING WHITE SUPREMIST trying to over throw this country. I'm normally a calm type person, I'll walk away from a lot but this is getting out of hand. Call me names, call my Mother names (she's dead and I know better) I can deal and walk away but spit in my face and tell me I like it, I'll kill you, where you stood, and sleep like a baby that night. Gener, not directed at you, friend, just I'm getting agitated and want ya'll to know where I stand.
I haven't heard from you before, if you're new, WELCOME ABOARD. What a way to get acquainted. Hope to converse with you on friendlier terms. Buckle up that seat belt, this is one wild roller coaster but for the most part you're in good hands. Really good people here, even the trolls come around on occasion. Mike

Being from the north could never really understand these statues of Lee and the rest, they lost. For a 20 year old to kill over this he's very lost. Don't care if he's a leftist or what he's sick, now if he's proven guilty will the give him the death penalty or will some liberal judge save his ass?

Well, temporarily beaten, Carol. This all is part of a greater plan. And though many will die, in the end things will be for the best. I know it sounds like some new age mumbo jumbo, but it's not. Everything, and I mean everything, is part of a greater plan.

We may as well give up, we're beaten. Carol Kelly, I'm going to assume(which I hate to do) you are being sarcastic. As John Paul Jones said, I(We) have just begun to fight! No way Carol are we giving up. The fight has begun with the election of President Trump but there many battles to be fought and won or lose to this war. There is no guarantee we will win it, in fact the odds are against us because we let the worm dig too deep. The Evil is in one third of the people, the good is in another third and the last third is up for grabs which is scary. Our govt. is for the most part in the first one third that is Evil, not all, but most of them. That being said, and it's just my humble opinion, Now, it's more important than it has ever been the time to fight like you and your families lives depend on it, because they do as do mine and all on OPP and else where.

People are worried about NOKO. Screw that. We personally have no control over that. Have to trust who we elected Commander in Chief. To lose sleep over that is a waste of our time. What will be will be. The Lord has our lives already written in his book( some call it fate). Do what you know is right, follow his orders as you see them and you will be fine. Our job is to get our Country back on track, neighborhood by neighborhood. Mike

Ummm, I'm a little bit at a loss here. I responded thinking this was a thread about NK, and forgot Carol was talking about the situation in NC. But it is the same kind of thing in that we do not need to lose any sleep over. There is a battle in the heavens. The Christians call it "God vs the Devil," but call it what you will, the battle is not over, not by a long shot. And though the body dies, the soul and spirit go on. They just do. So there is nothing to fear. Nothing whatsoever.

Gener, Thank you, I think I understand where you are coming from and agree. I had not heard from you before so didn't what you were speaking about. Carol is a queer(not gay) specimen who I love reading what she has to say. Agree or disagree, she is provolking, and mostly, I agree with her. Mike

I only get on here about once a week or two, and then on only one or two or three topics. It just takes up too much time, and most people hate to hear from me anyway. I spice things up a bit too much I guess. But I do post from time to time, but try to minimize the name calling and such. Not that I haven't done it. Sometimes it just gets to the point it is ridic though, and I just drop out.
