GOP Healthcare Plan? A stampede of Unicorns is more likely.

For 7 years we've listened to the drumbeat of Repeal and Replace of Obamacare from the GOP. Nary a hint of what they will replace it with but as more pundits and Fox News and others took up the cry it grew legs and traction with anybody with a grudge against Democrats in general and Obama in particular.
Obamacare was the usual woolly headed mishmash you would expect from the Democrats and the rollout was a study in blither
but Obama deserves credit for the political courage to tackle such a monumental task so early in his Presidency. What followed is a spectacular example of how a meme can become a substitute for what should have been a well crafted alternative or better yet a constructive set of improvements. Instead here we are in 2017 with the GOP in control of both houses and the Presidency and the stark realization that the Republicans never had a coherent idea of what to do if their Repeal and Replace ship actually docked.
What we the people need is for these competing clown shows that pretend to be the Congress of the United States, is to grow up and sit down to regular order as McCain postulated and fix the existing ACA so that it works for everyone. It could be done. It could be given a new name to remove the emotional obstacles of Trumpcare or Obamacare and call it Peoplecare or something ....anything, but for the love of God...FIX it!

I realize this is asking a lot of the Congress... to grow up I mean, especially tough when the President himself is struggling with his own crisis of adolescence.....(oh well, bring on the unicorns...)

There are several things that absolutely must be removed from the Health Care Program. The original purpose of the HCP was to gain access to your bank account. http://opinion.fartoomuch.info/OCareMoBeast.html ...The second was population reduction. http://useugenics.fartoomuch.info/ ... The third thing was to support Big Ag and Big Pharma at the expense of our wealth and health. http://opinion.fartoomuch.info/HealthCare2.html ... We need a Health Care Plan that allows the use of natural cures that are safe, effective and inexpensive. i.e. we need a Health Care Plan that is in our best interest.

Are you kidding? The ACA was a God send for the GOP, who, after accomplishing very little under George Bush Jr. ( other than multiple wars costing Trillions that is ), were handed a lottery ticket. The Congress continued to accomplish nothing of note under Obama, other than the effort to make him a "one term President", which they also failed at. Democrats continued to defend the ACA without acknowledging it's problems, Republicans continued to try and undermine it every which way, emphasizing and amplifying it's problems - with no regard for the people who were being hurt in the process. That lack of concern for the people continues even as we speak.

The GOP repeatedly promised that they had a better plan during Obama's tenure, but never revealed it - because it was bullshit. Trump promised that HE had a plan, but that was bullshit as well. Instead of spending the last 8 years working on a replacement, they concentrated on using the ACA as a marketing tool to gain control of the Government, and now that they've achieved that goal - have no earthly idea of what to do with it.

The ACA's flaws were a God send for the GOP - they themselves are not for the American people.

As you say..."no earthly idea what to do with it"...

Behind the facade of chants and jingoism a bankruptcy of ideas...
