China-Russia ties have greatest global influence ever-Xi

Why doesn't the news muppets see this as a bigger news issue than Justin Beiber doing 136 MPH this morning.
This economically cuts out the petrol dollar in oil buys and after China pings a Japanese ship yesterday twice with a missile would mean that any defense of Japan would mean war with China and Russia.
"Chinese President Xi Jinping has vowed that Moscow and and Beijing will continue to be close allies and support each other on major international issues.

In his latest meeting with Putin, Xi said the two sides agreed to “unswervingly support each other on issues concerning their core interests and turn political advantages in their relations into cooperation advantages”.

Xi was speaking to Russian broadcaster Rossiya TV this weekend.

Xi had attended Friday’s opening ceremony of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Moscow was also his first foreign destination after taking over as China’s President in March last year.

“I am very satisfied with the achievements in the development of China-Russia relations,” Xi said adding the relationship has the “highest level of mutual trust and the greatest regional and global influence ever”.

The Sochi trip has marked a “good start” for the advancement of bilateral ties in 2014, added the president. This was the first time a Chinese head of state attended an opening ceremony of a major sports event held outside China.

“The cities of Beijing and Zhangjiakou are bidding to host the 2022 Winter Games, so we are here to learn from the Russian people,” said Xi.

During the interview Xi also asserted stronger coordination between the two countries is helping “safeguard international justice, stability and peace”.

Russia and China, both permanent members of the UNSC, coordinated successfully to prevent a US-led military strike in Syria. Both have vetoed three UN resolutions that sought to condemn the Syrian government for the civil war in the country.

Russia has also mediated between Iran and world powers to reach a nuclear agreement last year with key support from Beijing.

In 2013, Xi and Putin have overseen enormous Sino-Russian joint ventures including a massive oil deal with state-run Rosneft, Russia’s largest oil company striking agreements to almost triple oil supplies to China in coming years from the around 300,000 barrels per day (15 million tonnes a year) it ships there currently.

The MSM will not report this because it shows further the inadequacies of Obama in foreign relations. Putin has outmaneuvered Obama and his Sec of State at every opportunity. He is a failure both domestically and internationally so they report on Justin Bieber instead.

Just like Obama could have been our 1st great African American president bringing us closer together as one nation. We have also missed a great opportunity to have the Russian people as our next great allies against our common enemy of radical Islam.

I do not blame Obama for this, but his ineptness in foreign relations have certainly pushed Russia and China closer. We have one last chance to rescue ourselves from Chinese global domination. We must fix our repeatedly damaged relationship with the world's largest democracy India.

Atleast the Japanese understand the threat and aren't waiting for us to save them.

The one thing that empowers Russia and China to become allies is neither country has a problem with collateral damage that could destroy an opposing country. Human rights issues are not discussed when planning to occupy a targeted land. The U.S. needs to keep this in mind. Japan seems to be the target of choice for China at the moment. However, they are getting more and more focused on the U.S.. Maybe the commander and chief we have in office wasn't born with the balls to carry out a real threat in return to these countries that keep poking sticks at us, but hopefully in 2016 we will elect a president that will do whatever it takes to secure the boarders and eliminate the threats that this great nation is facing today. The only country that understands how aggressive we as a nation can become under the right leadership is Japan. To them, "Sleeping Giant" has great meaning, maybe it's time that others share the same view.

The problem is that the Diaoyu Islands clearly belong to China and proof of it goes back to the Ming Dynasty and even further back to maps dated to the early 1300's.

I do not believe since the US has the biggest military presence in Japan then anywhere else that the oil that has been discovered in this area has escaped the notice of the US.
"Established 1 July 1957, U.S. Forces, Japan, with its U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps elements, consists of approximately 47,000 military personnel, 52,000 dependents, 5,500 DOD civilian employees and 23,500 Japanese workers. U.S. Forces are stationed in Japan pursuant to the U.S.-Japan Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security of 1960."
Japan pays us to keep our troops there since after the war they eliminated their military and put into their constitution that they would never have another military again.
"Total acreage of U.S. bases is approximately 78,000 acres. The annual cost of stationing U.S. Forces in Japan in 1995 was approximately $7.6B. Of this amount, the Government of Japan paid $4.25B of the cost."
I don't believe that Japan is provoking China without provocation from the US.
We are wearing out our welcome there due to our undisciplined men stationed there that are never made accountable for their actions against the Japanese women.

I was stationed on Okinawa in 1974-1976. Being an M.P. was one of my duties. I remember many of the atrocities committed by our troops, I also remember (just not in detail) the atrocities committed against them. If I had the clearance to acquire documentation of some of the investigative results, I would gladly post them. Unfortunately, they will always stay under lock and key necessitating using memories of service members that where present at the time. What happens in foreign countries is not always as cut and dry as it seems. Both service members and civilians need to be accountable for their actions. Of course the murders, and rapes that where proven legitimate are inexcusable.
