Authorities say a Pennsylvania man, who The Gateway Pundit labeled an “unhinged anti-Trump fanatic,” had a long-running dispute with his Republican neighbor.

Tuesday, police say this alleged liberal activist brutally murdered that same conservative neighbor over an argument — and the mainstream media is largely silent on the slaying.

West Goshen police say Clayton P. Carter shot his next-door neighbor in the head and then stood over his body and fired another round into his head while the victim’s wife watched helplessly.

Neighbors don’t believe the argument that night was politically motivated, but critics say it is worth noting that the victim — G. Brooks Jennings — was a local Republican political figure, while the suspect was extremely outspoken of his hate of President Donald Trump.

“Neighbors say Carter was a quarrelsome, argumentative man. Court records claim Carter had a history of disputes with multiple neighbors. His front yard was crowded with cars and hand lettered anti-Trump signs,” local station ABC6 reported.

Carter has been charged with murder. Cater told police the neighbor had threatened him with a knife, and his lawyer says he feels he was justified in the shooting.

Police say they resolved an argument between the men just hours before the fatal shooting, which took place at 1:00 am.

Officials say Carter had a long-standing feud with Jennings and previously pulled a gun on him. They say Carter also had disputes with other neighbors.
