Revisiting a Disturbing Study of Human Psychology Reveals Our Willingness to Obey and to Inflict Pain
It seems to me information is missing on the study, what were the people told if they weren't to obey, was there the threat of being harmed, I find people obey out of fear for their own well being, especially when hurting someone else. What is your point here? You're surprised human nature hasn't changed much since the holocaust, I got news for you, human nature hasn't changed much in more 5000 years. But the future looks hopeful compassion is building...finally.
When Americans get sent to the concentration camps, will the Gestapo listen to their consciences or will they obey the captain who signs their paychecks?

Ok I was wondering where you were going with this... I have wondered the same thing, and witnessing what we've been seeing unfold presently is very disturbing, especially when we see Trump promote the discontent, and pin people against each other, just as seen when he spoke to the boy scouts, absolutely reprehensible behavior, paralleling Nazism.
Those who do not learn from the mistakes of history are doomed to repeat them.
