Being tall myself and remembering my class photos, I was always in the back and in the middle. Trump may not have been the tallest but he'd probably have been put in that vicinity.
When I was in the Navy I was in the front left on the side closest to the reviewing officers. Photography is a funny thing. You want the leader of the free world to be in the front row, but can you imagine him standing next to Merkel? So they stick him way off to one side with no one behind him for him to obscure, which he, of course, would go along with, for practical reasons and because it gives a little drivel for our media to focus on while he does important things. This is getting to be too easy for him!

FYI, Trump is not the leader of the free world. The leader of the free world needs to have access to informatiion that no other person on the planet can have, or will have. That person is Vladimir Putin, not Donald Trump.
