More details emerged Monday about a Branson man who killed a cat and then posted a video of the killing on social media.
Kyle Wayne Williams, 18, is in the custody of Taney County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond, facing a class E felony charge of animal abuse and an unclassified felony charge of armed criminal action. According to a probable cause statement from the Branson Police Department, which was used for filing charges, Williams killed the cat by dragging it behind a vehicle.
The court document states that Williams tied a rope around the neck of the cat, which appeared to be healthy at the time, and to the bumper of a vehicle. Williams then drove the vehicle, according to the statement, while unknown friends filmed the cat running behind the vehicle “until it couldn’t run anymore.”
According to the statement, the cat died behind the vehicle while the individuals continued riding around and laughing with the dead cat still being dragged behind the vehicle. The document states that a review of the video shows the cat was healthy and scared at the beginning of the video. Statements were made on the video that the incident will be funny. There is also laughing in the video.
According to social media posts shared by readers with the Branson Tri-Lakes News, the video was posted to a Facebook group, but was taken down shortly thereafter. Images shared with the newspaper show Williams posting an image of himself with the dead animal, along with the caption “Try to guess how I killed my cat, bet you can’t.”
A review of the video by the Branson Tri-Lakes News shows that the cat was dragged for nearly five minutes. Individuals in the video can be heard laughing at various points throughout. On two occasions, the vehicle stops, but it begins dragging the cat again when it is determined the cat is not dead yet. At one point, one of the individuals in the vehicle states, “Keep going. Don’t stop. He’s almost dead.”

People like that need to be tortured to death. Not because of what they do to animals, but because these same people often become serial killers. They get bored with animals and look for more interesting prey. Humans.
We have a couple of cat lovers on here. I'm one. Have had many, all rescued. Had one I got from my sister, he would always come into the shower with me. He would walk around the top of the shower. Had another one, barn kitten who was going to be drowned. Pure white, five toes on front feet, a green and a blue eye. He was brought to me in a brown paper bag cause he was wild. He wasn't weaned and when let go when right behind the fridge. For five weeks I wouldn't let anyone including my future wife to come to my house as I was working on getting that rascal to come out so I could pat him. When I got him, he would fit in my hand with room left over. He grew to be hugh but had a soft soul. That rascal would catch birds and bring them in without hurting them. I'd wake up with fluttering and tweeting. I'd have to catch the thing and release it. He'd catch a butterfly, draped across his face, totally unharmed, presents for me. There was one time when we were living at the beach and had a 2 1/2' high chain link fence in front of the house and wife and I were out, a man was walking his boxer. The dog saw us and came running growling, as he do got to the fence, Putter went for the dog. Needless to say we were safe, the dog not so much. The cat hit the fence with all four feet going though the opening flailing.
Any way, thought I get to something different. I would kill those guys if I could and it wouldn't be pretty. To abuse an animal or a child or anyone for that matter just sets me off. Thanks, Mike

I live in the country and currently have 6 cats plus a few feral that sneak up at night and eat the cat food I leave on the porch for them. This is not a human being this is a monster, and as someone pointed out those who torture and kill animals for fun frequently move on to people. I hope ALL of these monsters get caught. Unfortunately the penalty for animal cruelty rarely fits the crime, usually a slap on the hand, I would like to see serious jail time and nonstop public shaming, with reminders when they get out. As I said-hideous and disgusting

Get him to share a cell with Big Bubba, a cat-lover, then show Bubba the video. It will save the taxpayer a lot of money.
Drag everyone involved behind a vehicle until dead

What a very sick individual! Someone should punish him the same way and then put him in an institution forever. Otherwise, the idiot will move on to larger victims.

You know that's not a half bad idea
