Thanks for posting other options to read about this topic. I read that bit.
I am for supporting our Confederate Monuments. These Generals fought and died for the America they believed in, whether it was the Confederacy or the Union. Some were really great men. No one has the right to erase our history. Generals and Admirals, yes. Politicians, no, never.
That being said, I would really hate to see any monument to that last president we had, or the last several. And the current one.
I hate highways being named after politicians. I figure, 55% liked him, but 45% hated him and they still have to ride on that rode on occasion.
That also goes for elementary and high schools. Kids are forced to attend by circumstances even if they hate the politicians. Colleges are choices.
I also hate using our money to honor politicians and other issue oriented people. Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony. We are all forced to use these tributes whether we like them or not.
And that also includes holidays. None for individuals. Period. Bye bye MLK day.
Stamps are okay. I can always get another issue. Now that could be another topic.
Cheers
Next up for the libs will be mount Rushmore!
The Times, They are a changing. BD. It's not right and ignorant people are going to end up DOA. Damn shame it's going to have to come that, but it's coming. Mike

Thanks for the support Linda, this could be a lot more interesting than the Berkeley mess. Let's see how HPD handles these little masked terrorist antifa and their fireworks and pepper spray. The size of our crowd will easily dwarf the punks, I'm hoping to get some good footage while there.
It's June, hot and muggy like air you can wear. They haven't been in this climate with their trench coats, masks and hoodies that I have seen, so there are will be problems with hydration and heat exhaustion. Here's hoping they melt.
I've got your message and will gladly deliver it in the best possible way, hopefully up close and personal.
I miss stated the original counter organizer as concealed carry, it is actually, "Open Carry Texas". Lots of guns in our crowd. "This Is Texas", is a FB group started just for this counter protest, last check there were 1100+ signed up to attend from that group.
None of us are looking for violence but won't be taking any and turning the other cheek either.

Air you can wear? Not even close! You can chew it if your teeth are strong enough! I have folks at Livingston, and have spent way more time in Houston at all times of the year than I ever wanted to! I live in the stickers outside of Amarillo, and just can't take the humidity down there. If you're not used to it, it's brutal.
I'll bet they don't last long!

Gotta stay acclimated Archie, that was my point about these punks coming to Houston in June.
I'm in the woods now off 242 and old Houston just south of Conroe. We cull a couple or more hogs off this 146 acre playground in the woods every weekend. Ask for any weapon and one of us will produce it. My point is, we live outside. Indoors is where you go to sleep for us, plus my job as a lineman knows no indoors. Getting used to it is not an option, it's a way of life and dealing with it is just our norm.
I do like the, "you can chew it if your teeth are strong enough", comment you made. It's especially thick today as there are scattered showers and after one of those and the sun gets on it! Thick as a T-Bone.
I can hardly wait to report back here after the 10th and give an update, I fully expect HFD to have a steady stream of ambulances coming and going hauling them off from heat stroke. Weaponized weather! LOL

Aparently not, or I've managed to get them scrambling
Mr President cancelled the global, climate, vagina leaking accord and suddenly, the left is silent
By the way, shadows creeping up here in the woods. We're out of here for a while, maybe midnight with 2 kills. I'll send pics
