I like that. It also makes them desperate and that can make them dangerous. We are seeing that on the college campuses.

They are desparate. They're having their ass handed to them in a jar full of nitroglycerin. Any sudden move blows them to Russia.

I simply ask them "how's that working out for ya?". All I get is silence.

Have you seen the new thread where some screwball is freaking about everything?

He says we pulled from the Paris agreement so Miami and NY are going.under water as the sea rises. And he said Trump is canceling NASA so now we won't know the coming weather. You should find the thread. The guy is a hoot. He must have a post grad degree in freaking.

Yes, I saw that.

You know, once I thought those on the radical left team spoke in childish hyperbole for effect and showmanship... now I am not so sure but what they are are all hysterically screaming is actually their reality. Poor dears.

The CC freaks love to use NASA as their source. However, NASA says the sea level at our west coast has actually fallen over the last 20 years. Now to my simple mind, if sea level falls somewhere, the water has to go somewhere, so saying the east coast sea level is rising makes sense. So we need to look at rate of rise and it appears to be rising 3.2 millimeters per year. That translates to about 8 years to one inch of rise and then only if the rise continues. So next we look at recorded relevant history and SURPRISE...it is normal for sea level to fluctuate depending on several factors. And we also see this fluctuation is cyclic. Just like our climate.

Now to put this into perspective we need to look at the person causing much of the CC hysteria with his predictions. Al Gore. Gore said that sea level would rise to completely cover the statue of liberty. And good ol' Obama repeated it just last year. Of course Gore has made several far reaching predictions that have never come to pass.

So Gore is criticized bcause
he bought/built a beautiful beach home. His defenders here say yes, but it sits some 20--40 feet above sea level.

So let's do the math. We find the S. o L. tops at 99,104 millimeters above sea level approximately. That is 326 feet above sea level. That is more than a little above Gore's beach house. Another way to look at it is that at present rate of rise, and again only if it persisted long enough, it would take some 30,970 YEARS to get there. I don't think by then we'll care. I don't believe it could happen if all the ice on the planet melted.

To those living in coastal areas and are freaking about it I say the same as I said to people living in a bowl below sea level in a hurricane zone and afraid of the coming hurricane season. It is called New Orleans. MOVE!

Need more be said?

New Orleans is sinking because of the weight of the Mississippi.

There was a cartoon depiction as to the 'Nawlins' dilema.. showed a toilet with the bowl labeled New Orleans and the tank Lake Pontchartrain.

Sedimentation is also filling up that fluvial plain forming the delta. That's as common as flowing water.

The Democrats have a choice of three solutions:

1) Drain the Mississippi River
2) Drain the Gulf of Mexico
3) A bit of both
