Conservatives aren't against immigration as Liberals falsely claim.

This is one of the biases that the Liberals have about Conservatives. As usual, they have a twisted idea that they push in their attempt to make any Conservative thought or position as something that must be stamped out along with all Conservatives.

Liberals seem to be of the idea of open borders for all who can get here and we'll help those that can't get here on there own so they can diversify America and save us from our white selves. They don't seem to ever care how they get here, whether it is tunneling under our borders, climbing walls, over staying a visa for education, tourism, work, health services, or temporary refugee. And of course we must feed them, house them, cure them, educate them, let them retire on our Social Security system and let them vote. This is extremely destructive to the whole of America, as it would be for any country.

As a Conservative, I believe that this is our philosophy. We are a land of immigrants. We welcome immigrants that come here legally. We welcome refugees from the horrors of war or famine or disease. But we demand that they come here legally and obey our laws until they leave at the end of their authorized stay. And then they go home.

Those that are authorized to stay should be making inroads in their attempt to assimilate into out society. The first is to learn English and a serious attempt to speak it as it is spoken in America and definitely let their kids learn English as spoken here. We will try to help you as you assimilate and try to communicate to us by trying to understand you and your language as you learn ours. We have no interest in making every business or government phone call start with 'Press one for English.' A tourist who is here for a short stay, we will bend over backward to help. But if you are here for a few months, it is time you start learning how to communicate with us. It is not our job to learn to communicate with you.

We have several provisions for guest workers. For example, seasonal farm workers. But Americans should always be hired first, when possible. The same with special fields like the sciences. What that means is we don't fire Americans because we can get an Indian to work for 50% of what it costs Americans. We expect those companies to hire and retain Americans and only hire outside when necessary to fill a real gap of experience or knowledge, not a wage gap.

Tourists? When you've seen America, it is time to go home. One week or three months, or whatever your visa allows. We hope you had a great time. We might want to visit your country some time, but it is time to go home.

Refugees? We are the most compassionate country in the world? War, famine, disease exist. We want to help. But that doesn't mean open borders, We have a right to make sure you aren't bringing the problems you are running away from, to America. We have a right to make sure you don't try to turn America into what you are running away from. We will try to feed and house you, educate your kids, and get you jobs to sustain your selves while here. But when the crisis that led you to flee your home country is over, you need to return. Help them rebuild with the money you earned in America and the positive skills you and your kids learned here.

As for the wetbacks or tunnel rats, or wall climbers, you have no right to be here and never had. We have every right to evict you and deport you at any moment we can apprehend you and the kids you brought with you. We aren't breaking up your families. You took that risk when you came here illegally. Spouses and kids born here are welcome to join you as you leave. You are not an immigrant. You are an invader.

Students? You came here legally on a student visa. You were welcome. When your visa expires, you need to go home and help your own country with the education you got in America. We wish you well and hope you can make a serious dent in your countries problems. Maybe there should be some provision for you to stay here with the education we provided to you, to help pay back America for your education and maybe to intern and get some well needed experience in your field. But, do it legally, within the laws of America.

Think of America as your home.
If you have a party, you invite some guests. But when the party is over, it is time for the guests to leave.
If some friends come to visit, you can invite them in. But at some time they have to leave and go home.
If someone comes over to do some work for you. When the job is done, it is time for him to go leave.
If some comes to your home after an accident or injury, you welcome them and help. You call authorities and when safe, it is time for them to leave.
If someone breaks in your back window, demands to be fed, takes over your bedroom and living room, demands you send their kids to school, takes your car without ever putting in any gas, takes your job because he'll work for less, and demands to use your health care insurance, and demands a share of your pension, you grab his sorry ass and throw him out with the trash. Now, not later. No questions asked.

As much as we like living amongst our own, we can enjoy the diversity that life provides. But it isn't necessary to create diversity for the sake of diversity. There is no value there. But we should always treat diversity and welcome diversity when it occurs as something welcome, as long as it doesn't try to change the current status, except gradually over a long acceptable time. I like hamburger, tacos, pizza, and Asian food. But if you try to remove hamburgers and give me nothing but a diet of tacos, we're going to have trouble.

Do you liberals/nonprogressives/democrats/socialists now understand?

cheers

Excellent post. Unfortunately, I doubt it will make a dent in Liberal ignorance. They cannot discern the difference between legal immigrant and illegal alien. It just seems to be somehow beyond their comprehension.

Agreed , liberals live in their own reality, divorced from facts and reality....

here is what Teddy Roosevelt said regarding immigration. he envisioned the many problems that we would encounter with loose immigration laws. The borders won't protect us as a nation, but strict enforcement will.

I read that and there is a lot of truth to what he said. The next question is how that stands up to Sharia Law and Muslims. There are many other examples. How about Mexicans who would wave the Mexican flag over the American Flag? They are here for economic reasons and still think of themselves as Mexicans. And this isn't universal for each class of people. It is about those that don't assimilate or won't assimilate, but just want to take from America while holding other entities like Sharia Law or Mexico above any American interests and the will to assimilate.
