Because we have done a terrible job of educating young people in the past 25 years about the dangers of totalitarian governments. They see Bernie Banders as their slightly eccentric but lovable Uncle who wants to give them free college.

We have allowed the progressives to take over our school under the guidance of the federal government. By supplying the poor children a free meal or meals we turned our schools over to the Feds. If the parents don't teach the children at home some moral values, most children are sunk. For an example take a look at nearly all public universities.

Because we have permitted the federal gov't to assume more and more control over our daily lives. Entitlements, education, health care, finances, and on and on. And if you only know one thing about the federal gov't, understand that everything they touch or legislate they fuck up beyond belief. There is not one example of the feds assuming administration and it being a successful enterprise.
