Yes, some of Islam's more primitive instincts, which exactly mirror Christianity's practices of 500-600 years ago, are to be condemned. But can we condemn Christianity for IT'S burnings, beheadings, slavery, and torture in days gone by? The practices you mention by no means characterize Islam as a whole.
