MS. My left side is half paralized, I have balance issues as well as some other problems.

Could be worse. Some MS sufferers go blind. It's a strange critter. It can affect anything that relies on you nervous system, including the brain. I read about a teacher who forgot her multiplication tables. She had to learn them all over again. I'm lucky. I have a mild case.

I'm glad it is a mild case Mr. B..
I know very little other than when I would watch the Jerry Lewis Telethon but I know enough to know it nothing to take lightly and I am sure you do not...

Perhaps you would like to check this out ??
I did not sign up, so viewing was limited to the first page, all you need is your email from the little I saw... It may or may not help but you never know until you try.. It just looked like it may help at least knowing what others do for their symptoms...

We may be distances away but we're still right here...

sorry to hear Mr B
I have a friend with the same problem
although I have lived a long time and have experienced many problems
that's one I have missed
I wish you good luck and hope that it doesn't get worse

It's gonna get worse. I haven't had a relapse in quite a while. That probably means that I've entered the progressive stage. A slow downhill ride, instead of sudden changes spaced out over time. I remember my last relapse. My entire left side started tingling, like when your leg goes to sleep. It lasted for a while then went away, followed by partial numbness and weakness. The numbness is gone, but I still only have about 50 percent strength on that side. I can get by with a cane, so it could have been worse. What's worse than the physical problems is what it does to my cognitive functions. Depression is one of the side effects. Also, I have problems getting things done. It might be called laziness by someone who doesn't know me, but it's not. It's just an inability to get motivated. There's a name for it. but I can't remember it. Once I get started on something, I'm fine. It's the getting started part that is difficult. My dad also has MS. He complained about burning feet. He said it felt like he was standing on a griddle. He's taking medication for it. It helps, but it doesn't go away. The list of symptoms for MS is just about endless. It can simulate just about any physical sensation. Thank God there is one symptom that has not been reported yet. I'd tell you about, but I don't want to gross you out.

Please do not leave us, B... Its people like you that keep us coming back too..

Has your fathers condition of his feet been diagnosed as Neuropathy?? Same symptoms you describe anyway.. If so may I suggest Gabapentin as something to mention to his Dr if not already on it?? As you said many medicines to help..

We will keep you in prayer as He is the one that does all things..

You have a refreshing attitude always saying it could be worse.. Yes, it can but we hope for less.. It's natural.. I hope your Drs have you in as much comfort as possible!

Today I am grateful for your positive outlook which makes me realize there is nothing more important than health and positive reinforcement that "it ain't as bad as it could be!!" Words to remember and live by, Thank You..

Are there any experimental programs and studies that you could become part off? Now I know why you don't want to take a long bus ride to get mail, even if it would include money to help you get nourishing meals. Is there a meals on wheels program in your area that you could find help through? If so, and you can arrange it, please let me know where I can send a donation to help cover your expenses directly, or the address of your landlord so you know that your mobile home room rental is covered if you can't do it. Good people must not be abandoned when times are tough.

I hope he will accept help. Believe me, I know how tough it is to accept help, makes you feel like less of a person but, as one who has needed help often and have been blessed by receiving it, I do understand.

I'm doing OK. Six days until payday. Little short on food, but I'll make it. I need to lose some weight anyway.

The hardest part is getting paid once a month. I wish I was still working. Not only would I make more money, I'd get paid at least every two weeks.

Mr. B, that is my biggest frustration with having retired. Had to totally restructure budget and it doesn't take but a little hiccup to screw the pooch. Took me about a month to finally get over not going to work and not just for the money. I wasn't fun to be around for awhile. You guy and gals helped my sanity. We're here if needed. Mike
