What I am about to say in no way makes me an expert on the subject at hand. What I will say and believe, the wall many of you oppose is desperately needed. Most likely not for the reason or reasons you might think. It does not take a genius to see the moral decay sweeping across America. on its tail comes the breeding ground for Socialism, Communism, Fascism and any other ism that takes roots.
Cocaine, Heroin, Amphetamines and a host of others cross out Southern Border ever single day. Hundreds of tons every year. Bad enough it affects consenting adults but the is not enough for the Drug Lords there poisoning children in record numbers. The tail of this monster is long and ugly. Rape, Murder Slavery and increasing gang activity ride with the beast.
The anguish to families, the medical and law enforcement cost stagger the imagination. Thousands of rehab centers across the country. Many funded on the taxpayer's dime. Statistics suggest as many as 80% who complete the programs return to drugs in as little as a few days. The " Smart Ones " would tell us that drug laws are outdated, more understanding and compassion is required. While at the same time sentences are relaxed for offenders. Ask them if they would stand their loved ones in front of a speeding train. They would say no. But drugs are no different than the effect of a speeding train to anything in its path.
Yes, the wall will greatly reduce the flow of drugs. Harsh sentences for drug Lords and dealers. And Let us not forget tough love works miracles. If you have a better solution I am all ears.

There is an easy way to get people off drugs. Lock them up. Give them food and water until they are clean. Release them, and mandate regular drug testing. If they go back to using drugs, lock them up again. Rinse and repeat. Eventually, they will get tired of being locked up. If they continue to use drugs, we should lock them up for good. Sound harsh? Well, think about this. If all of the people who cannot kick their habit are locked up, the Cartels will have no one to sell drugs to. There would also be a reduction in crime. After all, many junkies will not think twice about stealing, to support their habit.

I believe that the opponents of the wall are in it for profit.when you see people like obama and the gang of 8 being paid millions to keep the
borders open and trying their best to get open borders .The Cartels are pouring millions into politicians pockets ,I believe that with all my heart .

As far as I'm concerned, people who deal drugs should be shot on site. Anyone who habitually uses drugs should be locked up. They are the reason for all of the drug-related violence. If they didn't use, the drug cartels would not be a problem. I could go further and say that people who use hard drugs should also be shot. They are aiding and abetting drug dealers, by buying that poison.

You could argue that the users are committing suicide which is what they are doing by using so really there is no difference to execution is there..

I hate sounding like a lefty here, but, the drug addiction problem is more complicated than "lock them up until detoxed" and then release them. Addiction is not a choice, it's a mental disease. Sort of like rehabilitating a criminal. If the criminal doesn't, deep in his soul, want to quit crime, there will be no rehabilitation. Unless you can give an addict something else to focus his life on, he will never quit. It is very difficult to re-program the brain. I say this as a programmer. Computer, not brain.
