Catalina island Ain't Fer' Younguns.

If you value peace and quiet, this island has it by the bucket loads.

Catalina island has a hand full of tourist activities, but life here as a resident is pretty dog gone boring.

We decided that one more day would be enough of this peace and quiet crap.

I'm ready to get back to Laguna.

Golf carts are the most preferred choice of ground transport here and walking is the preferred choice of exercise.

I walked a little more than a mile to take this photo after parking the golf cart.

Some of the uphill climbs were quite challenging.

You have my sympathy Mr. Counselor. All that peace, and quiet, clean, fresh air, and exercise can wear a man down!
I hope you ain't lettin them folks over there taint your mind! Or mind your taint!

Yep, I've driven from Houston to El Paso more times than I care to remember.

done the trip from Cal to Fl and back several times.
That's about 90% of border to border; 865/920
I still vote for Catalina.
Laguna Beach?
Nice area. Lived in Irvine a couple of years.
Lots of great beaches.

I once did Ft. Lauderdale Fl. to Buffalo NY.

But my wife was with me so it was quite pleasurable.

Anywhere that peaked her interest, I stopped to let her explore or shop.

When we get back to Laguna, my sis knows a little bar in Oceanside where she says there's a kickin' little house band.

She says the guitarist does the Dire Straits, "Sultans Of Swing " solo perfectly.

I can't wait to get off of this beautiful, dad blasted, peaceful island.

If you make it back to Laguna Beach, and you like Mexican food; check out Las Brisas on the northern bluff. Great view also.

We all feel so sorry for you. That peace and quite tends to make a city person wishing for noise of a different kind.
