And AGAIN this doesn't have to do with a court case you were speaking of in 2006, or any "Case" now, it has to do with reversing a "recommendation" from Obama~ NO court case , it has to do with the present day and the with the legitimate findings of the health risks of this TOXIN/nerve agent/DDT, we know that more and more information that has surfacing on it's dangers, and not by the EPA but other private studies. It should be STOPPED until it is proven SAFE!, not to keep going proving it unsafe by sick, crippled or dead people and children stacking up...

AGAIN Trump supports allowing this DDT being sprayed on our fruits and vegetables, In 2000, the EPA banned the use of Chlorpyrifos for use in homes and home gardens. This was after many reports surfaced linking the over use of the chemical with health concerns in the areas, keep in mind tis has to do with people breathing in the airborne molecules, it is more concentrated when either sprayed on the flesh of the fruit or worse using an systemic.

It wasn't Trump, he's the captain of the ship, the Buck stops with him, it is his responsibility to oversee his cabinet, his administration, who he's placed in office, he doesn't get to say " I dunno".

This most certainly is moving backwards, again with the publics safety, how many things will Trump and his administration strip away in protections for the people which took many years to get in place.

The EPA is a good program, the problem as with our government is that it has been compromised with money and politics. Solution- get money and politics out of it, no need to toss the baby out with the bath water, the same with our government, I'll stick with it also and try and help weed out corruption there too.
And AGAIN this doesn't have to do with a court cas... (show quote)

Those things you speak of are still in place with the States now more responsible to ensure conformity to.. Yes, deregulation is also on the table and there will be some viewed as harmful... Money and politics is what makes it all go round and round.. Not voting citizens until it becomes at issue..EPA is a government sponsored program it is not independent of...So will the rulings they make, government first, citizens next to last...

Heck those things in place on this case stay in place..The ban you speak of was for homeowners in household settings and is still that way..Then they added some fruits ..Nothing had changed.. This issue was regarding a permenant ban that went to the Industrial level business and farms etc..Agreed??
The sign off was done pursuant to the order.. The EPA isn't going to admit fault..
In doing so what did it change other than giving them what the were arguing for, that 2022 date to have to reevaluate the product..

Here look at the facts: the chemical was banned on home use, it still is.. That was not part of the issues..Right??
Later certain fruits we banned from being sprayed.. That still remains, right??
The chemical has been used right along in industrial use with certain exceptions not allowed on some agricultural level, that still applies now too, right???. Again not part of this case ..

The EPA argued they needed until 2022 the next review cycle (done every 15 years) to determine if the product was dangerous, right?! Now they have it, with no court hanging over their head..

So what changed??
Answer: BOs directive to remove it in farming on a directive because he felt it dangerous.. Yet, he, and the EPA convoluted the court with incomplete studies.. Everyone else a part of the case gave their scientific data and EPA failed to sufficiently rebutt beyond a reasonable doubt..

The product banned for home use remains and the product used in commercial farming with its limitations on some fruits etc still remains...

If your going to say had it remained as Bo wanted there would be no use of the chemical at all, then you believe in a dictator rather than support of evidence to justify??

As for Trumps watch, things that occur during his watch I agree.. This however was done during BOs watch with BO cabinet member so I'll assume you feel the very same about this case too..

"An E.P.A. scientific review panel made up of academic experts last July also had raised questions about some of the conclusions the chemical safety staff had reached. That led the staff to revise the way it had justified its findings of harm, although the agency employees as of late last year still concluded that the chemical should be banned.

Mr. Pruitt, in an announcement issued Wednesday night, said the agency needed to study the science more.

“We need to provide regulatory certainty to the thousands of American farms that rely on chlorpyrifos, while still protecting human health and the environment,” Mr. Pruitt said in his statement. “By reversing the previous administration’s steps to ban one of the most widely used pesticides in the world, we are returning to using sound science in decision-making — rather than predetermined results.”

The United States Department of Agriculture, which works close with the nation’s farmers, supported Mr. Pruitt’s action.

“It means that this important pest management tool will remain available to growers, helping to ensure an abundant and affordable food supply for this nation,” Sheryl Kunickis, director of the U.S.D.A. Office of Pest Management Policy, said in a statement Wednesday.

Dow Agrosciences, the division that sells the product, also praised the ruling, calling it in a statement “the right decision for farmers who, in about 100 countries, rely on the effectiveness of chlorpyrifos to protect more than 50 crops.”

And now they are going to go into court and ask the same 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to strike Pruitt sign off in protecting the citizens..

How do you think that will come out?? It is after all the 9th Circuit..

None of this matters Linda. The key phrase in Morgan's post was about reversing a recommendation from Obama. Go back and read it.
We all know how much the God like, omnipotent BHO is revered in the scientific community for his expertise in the field of agricultural pesticides.

Already about 70, or more here, not a cloud in the sky. Since 95% of outside construction stuff is done on the house, I'm going to spray some awful chemicals on some weeds, and spray enough pesticide to kill the bugs at your house from here! LOL!! Also placing mouse/rat poison in the outbuildings.
Have a wonderful day in the Rockies!! I wish I could be there, but I have a planet to kill. The work never ends!

Awwww Morgan! Don't you worry your little head none about it! I've been neglectful for a few years, and need to regain control. I need one big knockdown, and next week I'll be ordering beneficial bugs to release. Bug warfare is better than man/chemical warfare any day. As I stated, I've been neglectful the past few years.
I also realize that every creature serves some purpose on this earth, I don't want to coexist with scorpions, centipedes, black widows, fiddle backs, or rattle snakes. A shotgun is my only solution for the snake issue right now, but I'm working on it.

Yes I did read about Dow, it always goes to big money push, do you also want to bet these guys have their own organic meats(raised cattle) and vegetables, they always make sure they're safe. After this new EPA deregulation we can go to see how Trump has taken away protections for wage theft and unsafe working conditions. What person in their right mind would take those protections away from the people, there once again is this administrations transparency.

Organic, for your information there is no difference between manufactured fertilizer and caw manure except one comes out of a cows behind .and just where are you going to get organic meat and just what is organic meat.
as i have said before there is no nerve agent in the product it has been detoxified and there is no nerve gas in the stuff. this is just ignorant people trying to cause confusion. We have been using the stuff since 1980s and no one has been killed by nerve agent.

Just how many years was DDT allowed before it was finally declared "unsafe"?

You guys got ddt off the market using the peregrine Falcon. Now in the mean time thousands if not millions have died from Malaria,West Nile fever ,and dozens of other diseases. So just another decision that sounds great until you check the consequences.
