He appeared to be naïve to me he was wasting time trying to woo Republicans early on because I was complaining at the time that he was kissing to much republican ass and it was a waste of time I had fled that party in the mid 90's after more than 30 years because the crazies were taking over that party the days of sensible Republicans was over Men like Teddy Roosevelt. Earl Warren. and Hiram Walker both California Republican governors, Ike Eisenhower, Barry Goldwater, Bob Dole, Those men would not fit todays today's far right Republican party. Trump doesn't fit the mold but he has no ideology. His policy making is ad hoc without a guiding political philosophy. He's a loose cannon he has at times bad conflicting statements with in hours some times minutes and reverses policies that have been held for 70's, positions that alarm our allies around the world, and bring Americans to the streets by the hundreds of thousands in protest. That is completely contrary to Conservative ideology that stands on bedrock principles of protecting existing institutions and traditions and dates back to Edmund Burke. Trump has no ideology to defend or promote. He makes it up as he goes, as long as it benefits his own interests, which inevitably results in conflicting statements and contradictions that are impossible to reconcile if one accepts the law of non-contradiction, that dates back to Aristotle. It’s the principle or law that demonstrates our own rationality.
