What you mean the Republicans are after about divisiveness. Obama was the most divisive president we've ever had and what are you talking about racist attacks on the president. No one, and I mean no one, other than maybe some skinheads attack the president because of his race. We conservatives just don't like UnAmerican anti-colonial Muslim Communist revolutionaries. It is ideology dimwit. We don't give a damn about color. And calling the Republicans liars is certainly the pot calling the kettle black. You people are corrupt and self delusional to the core having the agenda of ridding the earth of conservatives forever and doing it by any means necessary. Your adherence to the community organizer and Democratic Party's playbook Sol Alinsky's Rules For Radicals, a book based based on how to obtain power through deceit and destroying the moral fabric of America just shows how degenerate you people are. Why don't you start aligning with your self to the party who has truth, honesty and integrity as their prime values. Fricking IDIOT!

I do not think that there is a single Democrat of any national standing who would not agree with every single one of these planks, in whole or part. The party is the major vector for the imposition of a communist distatorship in this country. It is instructive that The Communist Party of The United States of America endorsed Barack Obama in both of his presidential compaigns. It also called for the defeat of Donald Trump in 2016.

My conclusion is that the Democratic Party is communist.

I was raised not just a Democrat but as a naturally rebellious Irishman: authority was always to be questioned and usually resisted. Republicans were the establishment, the lowest and most callous people on earth. Yet I have to admit I was not quite clear why. Pro-union was enough in my family to vote Blue all the way. It was entrenched in my thinking from a young age that Republicans were the dupes of the rich.

When I came back from oversea's service in 1968, I was more tempered in attitude and thinking but still not really knowledgeable about the differences in parties. It did not concern me that much; I thought both sides were a little over the top, though tended to distrust the establishment (i.e., Republicans) more. In Manhattan simply on a job search, I came upon an antiwar march. I had just finished lunch and was looking for a trash bin to toss my empty bottle of soda. Then I heard a police officer yell, "Drop it!" When I quickly scanned the surrounding ground, I realized he was talking to me: he had his hand on his gun and was staring right at me. What? Then I realized his concern was the empty soda bottle. "Drop it!" he shouted. I probably should not have laughed. He was quickly joined by two other officers who seemed eager to slay their first commie. "Putting it down, putting it down," I said with one hand raised.

That was the end of the confrontation, but as I walked away a guy came up to me with a big smile, put out his hand, and said, "Welcome to the home of the free." I smiled. He introduced himself and said he was with the Quaker Marshall Program to maintain non-violence at demonstrations. Somehow he sensed that I was a recently returned Vet. I took their training and since that day until a few years ago, I was pretty much neutral about the American political landscape. Both parties, to me, did not represent the best interest of its citizenry. The emergence of the Tea Party and shameless racial attacks on the president changed that. Republicans were after divisiveness: that was abundantly clear. Fear and hate were their constant message. As Conservative media grew, so did the gulf between the parties and the American people. What to do?

I never knew politics and politicians were so corrupt, so openly corrupt. They blatantly lie everyday and their policies routinely hurt the middle class, poor, elderly, and young. This is done mostly by the Right that find fiscal concerns more important than people. Fiscal concerns are important, of course, but not above human life and dignity. It appears this is of little or no thought to them. End Meals On Wheels, after-school food programs, both of which the GOP lied and said their were no stats either helped, and you have a convert opposed to the heart against the lying, deceiving, conniving GOP.

All they have ever good for is to get in the way of progressives and try and slow them down,, They make no positive contributions to civilization and try to block every thing progressive want to do to improve our society. FDR saved 28 million from starving to death. by 1933 28 million Americans had no visible means of support. Along the eastern sea board there were people living on boiled dandelions. The railroad cars had more hoboes ridding the rails than had paying passengers in the cars above. Teen age hookers worked the hobo jungles risking disease. pregnancy, and death for a dime a trick. From the time of Hoover the government tried pouring money at the top as trickle down policy Republicans are so fond of but it did not work. So the WPA and CCC were formed and from 1933 to 1942 the government employed 12 million men directly. Labor, the socialist and communist parties were demanding change. Revolution was in the air so FDR went to the economic elites and told them something had to be done and that they would have to pay for it. That incomes above $25,000 would be taxed 100 % naturally they complained so a compromise was reached at 91 % Growth resumed at a good rate through 33,34,35, 30, and then the budget hawks got FDR to reign in spending and the economy fell into recession again Bankruptcy's increased un- employment rose and growth fell in to negative territory but FDR never proposed that government take over businesses or industries Electric Utility companies were allowed to operate as regulated monopolies. In short FDR did not go communist he saved Capitalism

I am a registered Republican of the libertarian wing. I can not see how anyone can vote for the Democrats. I suggest you read about communism, beginning with The Manifesto And you will see that its agenda is 100% allied with the Democrats.

The liars are the Democrats. The name callers are the Democrats, especially the ones in this venue. The most smug, intolerant, judgmental, self-righteous people I have ever known have been Democrats.

Your erroneous assumption is that if the government didn't do those things such as Meals on Wheels, they wouldn't get done.

God is in the details. Understand what Communism and Socialism is first before choosing the worst of all isms, Libertarianism. It is a totally absurd philosophy on too many levels. It ignores community, which is enough to make it look asinine. Individualism is madness. Forget it. You will never get it.

You haven't changed a bit.

That is somewhat true. I persist in thinking reason and facts can persuade, despite the rejection of both by many here.

Didya know they came here with solid knowledge no government would take care of them? Didya know you know you are full of BS?

Don't waste your time, eagleye. This "black" Irish poster thinks criticism of Ovomit's character (that which he DOES have) is racist---criticizing him solely for having black skin color. A VERY childish attitude. But then...

No. Plenty to criticize about Obama, as I have on numerous occasions, but the racism was real nonetheless. Documented--thoroughly documented and easy to google--that the Republicans swore to thwart him at every turn from the day of his inauguration. The GOP's great ambition at governing during his terms was to oppose anything and everything he tried to do, no matter who got hurt or how the nation suffered. This is why that Congress was the most do-nothing Congress ever in our history and got the lowest approval rating ever. Look it up. Public knowledge.

Do you know what 3% means to this program? Most of the rural counties voted for Trump. A 3% cut will first and foremost effect them.

First understand that the 3% that funds meals on wheels comes from a Block grant and in order to eliminate waste of the other 97%, the entire Block grant must be stopped.
Next, much has been written on this topic and much like Public Broadcast which also only receives a small percentage from government grants, this will encourage "Fund Raising Events" which increases public awareness and in the end will produce dividends fra, far greater that the peanuts from government grants.
This is nothing more than drum beating from the left, and an added excuse to attack Trump and conservatives. The good coming from this would be the cutting of government waste and dependency on grants that are not needed.

If Trump walked on water, would the liberals report he is God inspired or bitch he cannot swim? Every president inrecent history has had a honeymoon their first 60-90 even in second terms. Can you name one thing liberals supported Trump? Can you name one Day Trump was not attacked? Meals on wheels along with a hundred other negative stories is evidence of liberal hate, vitriol hate for conservatives and Trump.
