It wasn't so much that they were selling animals in the Temple it was how they were doing it. Jesus accused them of being a den of robbers which indicates that they were probably charging many times over what that animal was worth and making obscene profits from these sales. In other words they were robbing the people that came to make a sacrifice to the Lord and all of the while the scribes and pharisees were taking a cut of the profit for allowing this practice inside the temple gates. It was the practice of extraction very similar to the mafia in Chicago where they charged the merchants a price to run there business in the city and those fees were huge. And so Jesus saw right through their scam and called them on it. It has nothing to do with capitalism at all.

So...what was it when the Russians drained the Black Sea to grow cotton? Predatory communism? What about what Chavez did in Venezuela or Castro in Cuba when they confiscated everything that wasn't nailed down...stole entire industries and drove them into the ground? Socialism isn't a cure for anything CB. Jesus drove them from the Temple because they were stealing. Jesus even told them they turned the Temple into a "den of robbers." You aren't saying socialists don't steal, are you?
