Why aren't American's allowed to pick and choose insurance company's from any state? This is not about bad health care habits, people get diseases for many reasons, especially cancers which is more prominent now than ever, and will get worse with the deregulations of industrial manufacturing, and the closure of the EPA. Toxins in the earth, water and air, will expand, but the elite radical right doesn't want to hear about that either. It only comes down to the money for them.

They determine the cost via the median average cost of a pool of insured. Why do you think several insurance companies are dropping out of Obamacare? They are not in the business to go broke.

The problem is each state has their own insurance laws, rules, and restrictions, and GOP senators like Rand Paul want to change that and allow insurance companies to cross state lines. But, big blue states like CA and NY are not going to like that, and are fighting it. If we still had a free market (Obamacare destroyed the free market), bad health care habits would come into play, and determine rates.

Sure, why not? That would definitely cause healthcare providers to lower their costs - because no one would be using their facilities, and they'd make NO money. The average earnings in America is about $75,000, so one $35,000 appendicitis case will wipe them out. What will hospitals do with 1000's of homes they've collected through suing patients for unpaid bills? What will cities do with 1000's of homeless people who used to own those homes? Eventually, pharma companies will go bankrupt, because no one is buying their shit anymore, hospitals will close, Doctors will seek other employment, Nurses will do so as well - until, only the rich will have access to any healthcare at all.

They make think they have a captured market, but when their market dies - they do too. The healthcare industry ( not to be confused with the healthcare INSURANCE industry ), relies on the Government to subsidize their profits, by subsidizing patients - the majority of whom cannot support them by themselves.

Let's say automotive manufacturers began charging $100,000 for a small economy car, the Federal Government mandates that all citizens must buy small economy cars, few citizens will be able to afford those cars, so for the manufacturers to remain in business and make all that money - the Federal Government must subsidize the cost of those cars. The ENTIRE healthcare industry, is being subsidized by the Federal Government, using money taken from the citizens.
