One more energy program trump has his eye on...

The orange man simply is the nasty SOB we knew he was..

Another day, another grift. The EPA's Energy Star program has been, for consumers, a raging success. A label, right there on each of the displayed home appliances in a store, tells you flat-out how much electricity your latest purchase is going to use and what it's going to cost you; if you want a version that costs less, you can easily find a brand that's more energy-efficient and go from there. If the program didn't exist, such comparisons would be impossible.

So of course Team Trump wants to murder the thing. And of course there's a link to his own businesses involved here, because the program also includes voluntary scoring of commercial real estate buildings. Guess what?

Trump's properties tend to receive low Energy Star ratings. The most recent scores from 2015 reveal that 11 of his 15 skyscrapers in New York, Chicago and San Francisco are less energy efficient than most comparable buildings. On a scale of 1 to 100 for energy efficiency, Manhattan's old Mayfair Hotel, which Trump converted into condos, rated a 1.
But none of this could matter if the administration has its way. It has proposed cutting all funding to the Energy Star Program, run by the Environmental Protection Agency.
This will Help Donald Trump Personally because, as a real estate developer, getting poor scores on buildings can make investors and prospective tenants wary. You don't want to buy into a white elephant, after all (though honestly, if the building you're investing in has a giant TRUMP logo perched on top of it like a gaudy and gigantic pigeon, you may deserve what you get.) And while the program is mostly voluntary, some cities require scores to be reported—a trend that developers like Trump may not like.

Doesn't matter now, if Trump gets his way. Ratings? Gone. Consumer choice? Sod off!

Oh, and just to bring home that Trump has always been as big a liar as he is right now in this moment:

"I strongly believe in clean energy, in conserving energy, all of that --- more than anybody," Trump says on a fact sheet for a heating and power generation system at Trump Tower in White Plains, New York

perma-we sent Trump to DC to reduce the size and cost of government. He is attempting to do just that by
reducing/eliminating taxpayer subsidies to the entities you outlined. If they cannot survive on their own, we really do not need them. Looks like you lefties have yet to find a program which you do not deem essential. This country is in debt 20 trillion dollars and we can no longer afford nice-to-have programs and must cut to the bare bones if we are to survive fiscally. This energy consumption BS on appliances is just that. Most people look for the appliance which fits their budget price wise and are not concerned one bit about energy consumption at the time
of purchase. Clean/renewable energy is what is preferred. However, one cannot abandon fossil fuels in one fell swoop and make an immediate switch. It has to be gradual so that people who earn their livelihoods in those
industries are given an opportunity to re-train and stay gainfully employed until the new energy source comes on-line in sufficient quantities to carry load. It does not serve any useful purpose to rant and rave as we are stuck with coal, oil, and gas for the foreseeable future. There is not nearly enough solar/wind and other energy available to meet the needs so why make a big issue of it except to denigrate Trump. I believe that is the sole purpose and intent of your post and that is really sad. To call the president of the USA an SOB is both demeaning and totally disrespectful. I am sure your son would not be proud. America First !!!

Right. Micro ad miniature and very small nuclear reactors are the answer on energy. Cheaper than most fossil fuels and MUCH MUCH better than windmills, that operate in the real world at LESS than 20 percent of their optimum and are EXPENSIVE to maintain. While we wait, we have far more natural gas, coal and ordinary crude petroleum oil to last a few centuries. Unlike windmills, they do not kill birds and bats in the thousands. Safe nuclear energy is the way to go if you have a pathological fear of that life giving trace gas CO2

There is only one problem with your nuclear reactors... Nuclear waste, it only stays hot for 10,000 years maybe we can dump it in your back yard! Plutonium is not C02

Rick; Millions of Americans loudly cheer the minus signs in the cut-and-paste; never having understood why we who work and provide for the wealth of he country should be expected to fund hard-core Leftist propaganda mechanisms, particularly in the broadcast medium; National Propaganda Radio for example.

To expect respect from someone who is so mentally crippled as to post such nonsense in the first place makes for a long, long wait. That said I always admire your initiative in attempting to communicate with Leftists. You have the patience of a rock. For myself I have come to agree with the lessons of history wherever Leftists have attempted to take freedom; that one can only be certain that the Leftist has received communication by careful application of a small mass of high velocity, nonferrous metal 2 millimeters above the bridge of the nose.

He does believe in clean air, clean water, land etc.. He doesn't believe the misinformed hype and the scam on people about Climate Control.. He also made that clear during his campaign.. He believes in relying on States to enforce regulation as well..

Your obsessed and misinformed!!

CDM-we need to keep trying. I really do not believe perma is putting any thought in some of those posts and
is merely echoing the liberal talking points or what some left winger has spewed. Some of those diatribes do test one's patience !!! PS. What caliber ?? lol America First !!!

Thank you. I have been working for a living, this time helping a little company out west who have a fantastic idea but don't know how to structure a company; 6 months of hard work that takes all my attention. Have it under control so have time now for other pleasurable diversions such as OPP and forensic dissections of Leftists; better than frogs in high school biology, don't you think?

Time to limber up the ol' gorilla ...

Rick; I don't disagree that we need people such as yourself and some others here who attempt to find common (sense?) ground with the Leftists. For my part I have invested in the study of inter-species communication on which there are copious writings that point to the impossibility, even hopelessness of certain such efforts. Let me shed light on this.

The species Homo sapiens (modern human beings which DOES NOT include LEFTISTS) has found it's greatest success in limited inter-species communications within the genus canis with C. lupis or mans best friend. There has also been exciting success in the genus Pan, with the species chimpanzee and bonobo.

All recorded efforts at direct communication with species Homo Excreta enim Cerebrum known today as the common Leftist found world wide, have failed. And with understandable reason. This is a species that stopped evolving over 2 million years ago with completely atrophied right-side brain development (this explains your observations that Permafost can't seem to think logically). Shared physical appearance with Homo sapiens, their only recognizable characteristic, is a cruel trick of evolution.

I have emailed president Trump with this info and suggested he watch the movie ALIEN with Sigourney Weaver . This is the best example ever created to demonstrate the nature of evolution of species; Ripley and the Alien cannot communicate - one species must be eradicated for one to survive. I hope he figures this out soon.

As for caliber; small and fast but not expensive. At about 4 cents the 7.62x39 is a candidate. For perspective the brain of Homo Excreta enim Cerebrum is only about the size of a walnut.

Hey, and above all else remember we need to keep our sense of humor; something Homo Excreta does not have the pleasure of possessing.

Again, always a pleasure to read your concise comments....
