Once upon a time, government budgets were balanced, our money was sound, the streets were safe, and taxes imposed by all levels of government took less than 10% of our income.

My property tax also went up so much in 2017. 65% of our property tax funds these dumb kids in public schools. They are controlled by SEIU, the huge donor for the democrat party.
Those handouts pay no tax of course.

What made you conclude that I thought government tax levies are for the benefit of people who pay taxes? Those who pay taxes carry the burden funding all government operations; to feed and provide for people who do not pay, or who are on welfare.
