You need to remember, that inflation was due to OPEC, which was allowed by Kissinger policy.. Who did he work for?

The inflation was brought under control while Ronnie was in office, but by the people and Policy put in place by Carter.

As to that damn inflation, one of my biz loans went to 21% and I took a beating..

But Carter was far from a bad prez, but he sure got stuck with a hard row to hoe..

It got to 18% but inflation was at 11.4 % when Reagan got in Office. So you can stop that BS right now. Carter inherited rising inflation under the Nixon Ford years because of the VN war, the oil shock created by the Saudi's where they triple the cost of oil and if you check it out there was a world drought which caused the increase in food Reagan's inflation was caused by trickle down economics which did not work.

Carter did only one thing right for me. Gave me the opportunity to sell (to the richest man in Utah) just short of a $mil worth of AAA tax-free bonds at 15% Unheard of. You have forgotten to add a HUGE item that separates Carter from the others, except Obozo, who is easily the worst to ever be in the White House.
Jimmy Carter in 1977 signed one of the dumbest bills ever when he forced the banks to give mortgages to anyone who wanted one, even if that person had no means to pay it back. The result was, not surprisingly, a recession during W's time in office when the banks called all those failed loans and the sh!t hit the fan. That is what caused the recession in '07 and nothing that George did, although the media and that worthless Kenyan blamed it all on him. Carter has already gone down in history as being a dud and the only one lower is Obozo!
