Additionally, although somewhat ambiguous, the 9th Amendment states that the "enumeration of certain rights" in the Bill of Rights "shall not be construed to deny or disparage other rights retained by the people."

I do not think that covers the wrongful taking of human life even the life of the unborn.

That seems reasonable.

I am pro-life because partly because I suffer from a terminal disease called Roman Catholicism & being a physician (osteopathic), I date the beginning of life from conception.

What I find incredible is the bullshit excuse to abort a normal viable fetus to save the life of the mother. My brother is a 35 year MD and says there is NEVER a medical indication to abort a viable fetus to save the life of the mother. The MEDICAL indication is to deliver that fetus as quickly as possible to save the mother's life, usually by C-section. For to pause to kill the baby before delivery and then still have to deliver it would put the mother's life in even more danger.

I have a beautiful, wonderful and healthy great grandson (now 22 months old) who had to be delivered quickly 5 weeks prematurely by C-section because he was putting his mother's, my granddaughter, life in danger with extreme preeclampsia. NEVER was abortion considered.

Liberals are so schizophrenic. Will fight , scream, hold vigils to keep a mass murder from being executed because that life is precious, but the most innocent among us are not. They never make sense.

Our very existence is a terminal disease. None of us are getting out of it alive.

Thirty five years brings us back to 1982 which is certainly correct. In fact, maternal deaths from childbirth have been almost at zero from back in the mid-60s. A director of Planned Parenthood from the late 1960s stated that. At that time, PP main business was helping infertile couples to conceive.

Deaths from abortions were also virtually non-existent.

It is pitiful. They never consider the implications of what they do.

Perhaps the loony-left don't believe in a greater God because they think they ARE God. Deciding who lives or dies on a whim, is a very sad state of existence.

Oh, yes. They don't worhip God, they worship government, the Religion of Man. It has many denominations; Progressivism, Socialism, Communism, National Socialism, Fascism, etc.

With a last name like Perez, there is a good chance he is Catholic. If so, he should be excommunicated as should all pro-abortion politicians.

I concur with the above..but, I gotta tell you from the get go, that ABORTION exists AT ALL from the start, IS the fault of the CATHOLIC CHURCH.
So, don't think for one moment that (if CATHOLIC) Mr. Perez will even get a light reprimand, much less be denied communion. Albeit > Tim Kaine..A DISGRACE.

I can not see how you can possibly blame the Church for abortion existing at all. Yes, the Church has been too reticent IMHO, in the campaign to stop it. Ted Kennedy should have been excommunicated as should Caroline and some other members of that wretched clan, as should Nancy Pelosi, Tim Caine, etc., but to blame the Church is simply wrong.

The Catholic Church supported abortion by default for being against birth control.

That's like saying that you support murder because you don't believe in gun control. Pregnancy is a logical, potential result of sexual intercourse. Injury is a logical, potential result of gun use.
