Here's one reason: the GOP's stance on limiting Government overreach. They can't make a case for reaching into a States sovereign territory, and forcing their agenda down a cities throat. It's called hypocrisy. Yeah I know, hypocrisy is the bread and butter of repubs and dems, but there must be a limit somewhere.
