I am not talking about the climate "scientists" prediction about the coming "ice age" from the 70's. The ice age that I am referring to is the "retail ice age" In store sales and revenue are dropping. Look at the price of retail stock to confirm. Macys stock has lost nearly 50% in value in the last 18 months. Many of the larger department store chains allow men to be in women dressing room and vice versa and bathrooms as well because it is politically correct in the eyes of the LGBTQ community and the left wing activists. Agree or not with the policy, the vast majority of customers are not part of the LGBTQ community. It a company wants to increase market share why would you adopt a policy that makes most of the customers uncomfortable in order to appease a small minority of customers? Even in our home we have a closed bathroom door policy and it works well. Why would I prefer to share a bathroom with strangers of a different sex?

The problem with online shopping is the a photo is not the same as seeing the real item. It is difficult to judge size and exact color from just a photograph. This is a major problems for customers who purchase textiles, clothing, and bedding because the color rendition in a photograph are not always true to what you think. Most clothing is displayed on models and ttheir shape and size are different from most customers. The brick and mortar stores are becoming a depository for returned goods that are bought on line.

This is a major problem for retailers. It is more profitable to have items purchased in store. There will be fewer returns and increase customer satisfaction. After several unsatisfactory purchases, the customer begins to lose trust and interest. On line purchases can be a problem if there is a security problem at the delivery site.

It is a fallacy that on line shopping can totally replace feel, touch, and see shopping. For retailer to survive they need to wake up to the needs and desires of their customers and place less emphasis on the political attitudes. Killing a line of products because of a political stance will never improve the bottom line because they still alienate a percentage of their customers. Remember when "customer service" was king

I remember when modesty was the norm and a man, regardless of how he dressed, in a ladies bathroom would get him arrested.

The alphabet community is nothing more than a bunch of deviates, the only thing they deserve is extermination. Frankly, I really don't give a damn about their perceived rights. It just boggles my mind the tolerance afforded these fruitcakes. Bottom line-it's an illness, not a lifestyle people. If more people took that position, maybe they would all go back in the closet.

In my opinion it's a choice, not a calling, and I choose to not like it.

Funny, but the reason I've started buying clothing online instead of in the stores is because many times I've been able to customize my shirt/sleeve length and trouser/in-seam length online where I couldn't find my sizes in the stores... And the prices are compatible online to the stores (and the Shipping costs are more than offset by the fact I get clothes that fit me better)... That coupled with the fact I don't waste gas is a win for me...
