I don't consider myself in any party, I'm an independent but called a left from people on the right, I wish party's were no more because I only see them as bias, generalizing, unfair and untrue and only divides us. I'm for hashing things out issue by issue and stop blaming, sick to death of it. I was a republican since I could vote, as my family, my father, brothers and husband have been in one service or another and republic also, I love this country as you do too. The two people I have found I aligned most with here on OPP is Slatten and Coos Bay Tom(whom I've missed), and emarine. That's about where I stand in most positions.

About the American Indian... I used that reference from your heritage, trying to express how generalizing with people in party's is like generalizing all Indians to the same characteristics. Simply put that's a bad thing to do, not all leftists, or righties are the same and hurtful characterizations thrown at each other solves nothing an just gets people hating. Our country has come far off course in our divisiveness because that has been our focus, instead of just dealing with the important issues. Thank You Vehoe for accepting it. It means a lot to me when ever I can build a bridge and not a wall and discuss things especially when we have different viewpoints. That is exactly right Ve'hoe, if only we could make that everyone's focus, the good changes I believe we could make, that is truly how we can become great again., working together. American's are at their best when there are catastrophes, why because we're all working together to help, let's take that mind set to help ourselves out of this catastrophe. I know one thing for sure it's not going to happen arguing and pointing fingers like a estranged couple where nothing gets resolved.

It's not easy to be a country as large as ours with so many differences, we all have to bend a little in order to work together. Wouldn't it be great... where this is where we can lead and be an example for the rest of the world.
