It detects underground nuclear blasts. Now, why would N. Korea panic over that? They announce their tests, they said they'd test, been saying it for months - so the only thing the plane will do is - confirm that they aren't lying about it.

Now, if we could launch a plane that detected lying from the WH - THEY would certainly panic.

If it helps to bring true confirmation of what he is testing all the better..Tangible evidence sure speaks louder than supposition...And will also be needed in the continued discussion phase......

I'm likewise sure this plane could take No. Korea out too... Something we do not want or need..... Slap him with every sanction there is, heck, put a nucleaur missle in Japan that we control but keep it all peaceful..........Two bit punk is all he is!!!!

Linda-it may be time to take the NK punk out of circulation. I would surmise that if the countries within striking
distance of NK's missiles are in agreement, this is the time to get rid of the little fat punk. I do not think we would
attack without the consensus of those who would bear the brunt of NK's response. We need a strike, so massive, that it will take out the bulk of their capabilities all at once. It does not appear as though diplomacy will ever work
with someone like Kim or the ayatollahs. They only seem to understand brute force. America First !!!

As we know radioactivity is merely the decay of imbalanced atoms that result from fission of a nuclear fuel. If you are away from the source, no problem. Problem is during a nuclear "event", Meltdown, or explosion, then the radioactive particles may be scattered wherever. The plane would not detect 'radioactivity' unless flying through a field. However the plane can collect particulate from an explosion and analyze to detect fission products. Sort of like taking a 'swipe' on a handrail and taking the sample to the lab and analyzing it for radiation emitting particles.
Just for grins, The plane wouldn't be carrying anything to bother NK. Why would it. Risk getting shot down and blowing the exercise. If the US wanted to destroy NK, consider the submarine nuke missiles, the land based nukes or a ship or 2 or 3 loaded with nuke Tomahawks, B2 or B-52 bombers or any of numerous methods of obliterating an enemy. Certainly not basically a converted civilian airliner converted to a flying nuke lab.
Let me add this. I don't know how many ballistic missile submarines we have currently deployed and I wouldn't tell you if I did but suffice to say we have a bunch. Each with a whole lot of missiles aboard and each one of them might carry several individually programmable warheads, add a bunch of land based missiles similarly equipped plus a stock pile of 'goodies' for the bombers so why would we send a lone aircraft over to do anything except snoop to see if they can detect radioactive particles in the atmosphere? It can be helpful to verify they did pop one off and to try to see if there might be 'contamination' in the atmosphere which might drift onto someone's front porch.

Sorry for the delay, was gone awhile and playing catch up to emails..

You know I vascillate over what is best for all, including adjoining countries that would be ear marked, So. Korea, Japan etc.. When I see how he's goting us into testing our resolve I want to hit the button myself!! Not nucleur but like the one released, the mother bomb of all.. Two if needed, and flood the entire country where the military artillary is and drone them out!! Finish off oil supply tanks etc..

Then I think , yes he is a two bit punk and if He was gone, any type of Military action may not then be the only option.. Perhaps if China took Him down, which we are now seeing the thumb being applied by them .. Only a temporary appeasement if that punk isn't removed!! Then we're back to, boom!!!' He's bluffing right now!!! What was all that big show of archaic equipment shooting off all his missles, tanks etc?? He should be holding onto every thing !! Sanctions are already hitting oil and next It will he food, trade etc..

I guess we have to wait and see, but what I do know is Trump will hit if he has to!!
